Leading Drone Manufacturer Acecore Technologies Releases the Zoe Drone on Auterion’s Platform

April 26, 2022

Integrating the Auterion Skynode with Acecore Zoe delivers automated, online-first capabilities including 4G connectivity, live data and video streaming

We are pleased to announce that Acecore Zoe is now part of the Auterion Open Ecosystem. The high quality Zoe, well known for its versatile, all-weather design, is a portable heavy-lifter that can be configured from quadcopter to octocopter for added motor redundancy.

By connecting with Auterion Suite via Skynode, the Acecore Zoe delivers data and live video streaming automatically, in real time, without even pushing a button, while the drone is flying and performing its mission. This zero-touch, fleet-to-Suite integration means data is collected, analyzed and presented for a dramatically improved data workflow. Online-first capabilities with 4G connectivity and a wide array of new, tightly integrated payload options make drone operations more flexible and efficient for enterprise.

“Operational reliability and easy customization are hallmarks of the Zoe as it’s implemented in demanding industries like infrastructure, renewables and public safety,” said Jorrit Linders, CEO of Acecore. “Our partnership with Auterion means our customers can, for the first time, immediately extend their drones with a larger selection of tightly integrated payloads and benefit from a drone operating system that’s built from the ground up for online connectivity. This enables customers to transition beyond operating a single standalone drone to having multiple drones working as part of larger fleets, completing integrated workflows.” Linders emphasized Zoe’s role in scalable and future-proofed enterprise fleets.

Open Ecosystem Enables Fleet-Building Flexibility

Today, each different drone system on the market comes with its own dedicated ground control station and user experience. Organizations that need to build a diverse fleet of drones to meet differing use cases are slowed, even stalled, by that status quo—when operators have to learn, maintain and update multiple operating systems. The approach with closed proprietary systems doesn’t scale, especially with fleets of dozens or hundreds of drones. Auterion’s open ecosystem is rapidly expanding with more drones, payloads and third-party applications that give customers powerful flexibility and choice when building out their drone fleets.

“We’re thrilled that Acecore has chosen to build upon the Auterion platform, recognizing industries with multiple use cases, hungry for flexibility,” said Lorenz Meier, CEO of Auterion. “By using Auterion’s operating system on their drones they do not need to build the required user functionality themselves, but can focus, instead, on servicing niches that proprietary competitors cannot serve as well. It’s a win-win.”

Within the Auterion ecosystem, all vehicles are operated using the same software experience—Auterion OS, Auterion Mission Control, and Auterion Suite. An organization can operate an Acecore Zoe and other kinds of drones using the exact same ground control station, analyzing their mission data in the same web app and completing updates using the same process. Companies can scale their drone fleets across multiple platforms from multiple vendors while ensuring their core operating platform is unified.
