About us

The Australian Journal of Rural Health (AJRH) is the online journal of the National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA). It provides research, policy articles, commentary and letters about health care delivery and medical and health workforce training in rural, regional and remote Australia. The AJRH is a multidisciplinary journal, which aims to facilitate the formation of interdisciplinary networks to build and advance rural practice for all health professionals. In 1999, the AJRH became the official journal of the NRHA, which is the peak body for rural and remote health organisations and professions in Australia. The AJRH is taken by subscribers in USA, United Kingdom, Canada, India, Japan, and over 50 other countries. Readership includes general practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, health administrators, universities, rural health units, consumers and libraries.
