  • As we reach the closing of the Paralympic Games, it’s been inspiring to witness the extraordinary feats of athleticism, determination, and spirit from athletes who hail from all around the globe. Allianz has been a proud partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) since 2006, and Paralympics Australia since 2011, and we’re committed to creating a fairer and more inclusive world, on and off the sporting field. Our warmest congratulations to the entire Australian Paralympic Team who competed at Paris 2024. A special mention goes to our Allianz Athlete Ambassadors: the Australian Steelers, who won bronze in the wheelchair rugby; Madison de Rozario, who took home bronze in the 5000m T54 and silver in the marathon T54; and Nic Beveridge who became Australia’s first para-triathlete to compete at three Paralympic Games. #GoAustraliaahhh! #Paris2024

  • Allianz Personal Injury team member, Tina McKenzie PLY, understands precisely how important mental health and wellbeing are during accident recovery. Turning to wheelchair tennis as part of her rehabilitation after an accident, she regained confidence and soon discovered a passion for competitive sports. After making the switch to wheelchair basketball she rapidly ascended to an impressive sports career with three Paralympic medals to her name. Ahead of the Paralympic Games we caught up with Tina to delve into her treasured moments representing Australia and claiming medals. She explains how her experience as a Paralympian has influenced her work with personal injury customers at Allianz, and how she’s empowering the next generation of athletes in her role as the Assistant Coach of the Gliders, Australian Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team.

  • We're thrilled to announce that gold medal-winning Olympian Libby Trickett will be presenting our upcoming R U OK? Day webinar! Join us on Thursday, September 12th, from 11am to 12pm (AEST) for an insightful session.
