Mine Vision Systems (MVS) is a team of mining engineers, geologists, and robotics and automation experts. Our scanning technology has been used in over 50 customer engagements globally for mining applications that include face scanning, convergence, mine scanning, open pit wall scaling, volumetric reporting and shaft scanning. With the recent successful product launch of our FaceCapture™ Mapping System we are in significant growth mode and are seeking an in-country Business Development Representative for Australia to join our team.
As an MVS Business Development Manager in Australia you will be responsible for closing new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meeting/exceeding sales objectives
Qualifying leads from marketing activities as sales opportunities
Contacting potential clients through a variety of channels including LinkedIn, email and cold calls
Sourcing and supporting Australian resellers
Supporting mining industry conferences and seminars
Supporting onsite customer product evaluations and training
Participating with MVS team members and leadership to provide thoughtful and insightful feedback on Australian market conditions, product capabilities and solution performance
Tracking activity in the Salesforce system and keep management informed in a timely fashion
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Communicate effectively with various customer stakeholders including, Engineering, Geology, Survey and Corporate
Deliberate strategic thinker
Track record of developing a deep understanding of customer’s business, workflows, and pain points
Exercise an entrepreneurial mindset and thinking creatively to spot new opportunities
Employ active listening skills and considering the ideas, thoughts and concerns of others
Hands-on experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of related experience
General understanding of the mining and/or infrastructure industry is a plus
Geology education and geology experience in a underground mining environment is a plus
