In my experience, genuine thought leaders are not driven by "measuring ROI in a data-driven way". Sharing new knowledge is in itself the name of the game and trying to put metrics on this cheapens the process.

These responses are cliched and sound like they were generated by ChatGPT. Maybe the purpose of coaching was to encourage the client to not be so rigid and challenge rules, in which case the coaching will have been successful.

If you ask the person if they would label themselves as challenging, they probably would look at you with surprise. More likely they would say they are just responding to a frustrating situation. So first understand what’s frustrating them before labeling them “challenging”!

Our research shows that a competent and trusted field consultant can add significant value to a franchisee through mentoring and coaching. Getting franchisees together where they can share their goals and best practice tips, can also provide significant motivation and guidance for improvement.
