Last week Willyama’s founder Adjunct Professor Kieran Hynes was honoured with his first individual awards at the Australian Defence Industry Awards. Indigenous Defence Leader of the Year 2024, as well as the 2024 Excellence Award. These recognitions are a testament to both Kieran and Willyama’s dedication and leadership along with the outstanding contributions to the defence industry and Indigenous community. We recently celebrated the inaugural sponsorship of Willyama’s Indigenous Business Precinct (IBP).     The IBP provides full professional office facilities and IT services for Indigenous businesses. Willyama participated in three days of activities in Jakarta with the Australia Southeast Asia Business Exchange.  The mission helped to explore business opportunities and connect with key stakeholders in the market through effectively curated activities. Adjunct Professor Kieran Hynes participated in the following activities:  Engaged with the Special Envoy to Southeast Asia, Mr Nicholas Moore and Business Champion for Indonesia, Professor Jennifer Westacott AO; Exchanged ideas with industry experts and regulators during the Digital Futures: Australian Tech Forum;  Pitched to system integrators, venture capital firms, and targeted business customers;  Joined the launch of Austrade’s Landing Pad in Jakarta; and   Participated in site visits to BRI Ventures and Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
