Last night, we had a memorable evening celebrating 40 years since the first Heritage plates auction. The event took place at the Fox Classic Car Collection and was attended by passionate Heritage plate owners, some of whom participated in the inaugural auction in 1984. To mark this significant milestone, ten Heritage plates, including the rare 3-digit plate 698, will go under the hammer next Tuesday, 15 October, at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. Heritage plates remain an iconic part of Victorian motoring history, and we are proud to carry on its legacy.

We've hit one million digital driver licences 🎉 More than one-in-five eligible licence holders have now accessed their digital driver, motorcycle, and heavy vehicle licences safely and securely via the myVicRoads and Service Victoria apps!

Our website is changing. Following the separation of VicRoads Registration and Licensing from the Department of Transport and Planning, info on metro and regional roads, road safety, policies, disruptions and projects, including active transport, can be found on the new Transport Victoria website: transport.vic.gov.au VicRoads is still the home of all things registration and licensing. It was a great privilege to be part of the 2024 Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA) Convention and Expo this week and to engage with dealers from across the country. Our own Natalie Burrows was part of an expert panel yesterday uncovering research on the Consumer Buying Journey providing great insights and opportunities for the industry.

VicRoads Vehicle Report launches today! Victorians can now buy a second-hand vehicle with increased confidence thanks to the new VicRoads Vehicle Report. The VicRoads Vehicle Report is the only available vehicle report that includes Victorian registration information including registration and transfer history plus information from previous roadworthy checks. The Vehicle Report will arm consumers with information that can help them to make informed decisions on price and safety when buying a second-hand vehicle. Valuable information that purchasers of the VicRoads Vehicle Report will be able to access before buying, include: • Previous roadworthy results • Registration and Transfer History • Recorded odometer readings • Financial liability check (including an official PPSR certificate) • Safety and emission ratings • Stolen and written off status • Plus a comparison feature, presenting buyers with recent sale prices for similar vehicles in the last three months.
