Our world-first installation at RISING Melbourne this June showcased a life-sized manifestation of our in-app financial well-being feature, Hi—Fi: The Financially Sound System. The installation intersected art, live music from Australia's top DJs and dynamic digital art visualisations featuring real data from our Hi—Fi Sound Check Report, Australia’s largest ever money survey of Gen Z and Millennials, highlighting the optimistic financial outlook of young Aussies using Up. 'We’re borrowing great ideas from social networking, gaming, and other fast-moving technology industries to apply them to finance,' shares our Chief Product Officer, Anson Parker, with Andrew Cornell from Capital Brief. 'The key for us is if we can make your money engaging, then you're much more likely to be successful with it,' says Anson Parker. A simple example of this is our Save Up 1000 feature, which makes the weekly task of stashing cash interactive and encouraging. In our third year, we joined forces with RISING Melbourne to celebrate the annual city festival of art and design. Recognised as the presenting partner of the festival’s Night Trade hub, we presented Hi—Fi: The Financially Sound System — a life-size manifestation of our in-app financial wellbeing feature. Producing transcendental visuals, the system itself doubles as a DJ booth, featuring live performances from some of Australia's best DJs including Cut Copy, Soju Gang and Harvey Sutherland, who takes to the booth tonight from 6pm (13/06).
