It’s hard to believe it’s September! What a journey 2024 has been (so far). These past couple of months have been incredibly busy for Troocoo as we continue to grow across Queensland, New South Wales, Troocoo People Advisory (outsourcing) and our government businesses. We’re excited about the future and what’s in store for our team. In August, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sam Ebrahim as our new Executive General Manager in New South Wales. Sam brings a wealth of experience in business and people leadership within the recruitment industry. The Sydney team have also welcomed Ashley Kingscote, Principal Consultant, who is a specialist in Cyber Security recruitment. Both additions form part of our strategy to continue expanding our presence within the NSW market. Our Troocoo People Advisory team continues to grow, with the addition of Kaity Peacock, who will be supporting Brighter Super, and Calum Wilson, who will be working closely with Energybuild as part of our new RPO client solutions.  We’re also thrilled to have Luke Traynor and Liam Coleman join our Accounting, Finance & Procurement team, where they will focus on the rapidly expanding temporary recruitment market. The outcomes they are delivering for both their clients and candidates are fantastic. Our temporary workforce plays a critical role in our ongoing growth and delivery, and we are pleased to welcome three new temporary team members who will be assisting with ongoing projects: Deepti Sondhi in our People Advisory Team, Adam Ball as a Candidate Manager in our Government division, and Hazel Fenlon within our Operations team. As Troocoo grows, we welcome change as part of the journey. New team members bring new ideas, challenge the way we do things, and help build on the already fantastic culture and business we are proud of. If you're interested in upcoming opportunities or considering a career move, we would love to connect with you. Reach out for a confidential discussion today to explore how Troocoo can support your career journey as we continue to grow. Australia’s job mobility rate has returned to pre-COVID levels for the first time in three years, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. This shift signals a notable change in the labour market dynamics. The decline in job mobility is influenced by several factors, with the cost-of-living crisis being the most significant. Australian workers prioritise job stability and a stable income, making switching employers less appealing. While decreasing job mobility may be advantageous for employers, it is crucial not to become complacent. The competitive landscape for talent remains intense and understanding the drivers of employee retention is key to sustaining long-term success. Recent findings from a partnership between Origin Energy and Deloitte provided valuable insights: - Remuneration & Benefits: 72% of employees stay with their current employer due to competitive remuneration and benefits packages. - Aligned Values: Employees are 79% more likely to remain in their roles when their values align with their employer's. - Effective Communication: 49% of employees believe poor communication about benefits affects their satisfaction. These insights highlight the importance of offering competitive benefits, fostering a values-aligned workplace culture, and maintaining clear communication. By focusing on these areas, organisations can significantly enhance their employee retention strategies, making job changes less appealing and reducing mobility rates. We want to know, as an employee, what’s most important to you when considering your decision to stay with your current employer? #JobMobility #EmploymentInsights #EmployeeRetention #LabourMarket #WorkplaceTrends
