Tourism NT is a Northern Territory Government statutory authority responsible for promoting the Northern Territory as a must-do, unique holiday destination. Tourism NT sits within the Northern Territory Government Department of Tourism and Culture. The primary role of Tourism NT is the market the Northern Territory as a desirable visitor destination and facilitate the sustainable growth of the tourism industry in the Northern Territory. Tourism NT also plays a significant role in facilitating the development of and investment in tourism infrastructure and experiences.

    We're thrilled to launch our new campaign, Turn up campaign aimed at enticing interstate holidaymakers to enjoy an early summer in the Northern Territory during the spring months! Encouraging travel during the shoulder season will help tourism operators extend their peak operating periods, ensuring they can remain open and profitable for longer. Continuing to drive visitors to the Territory ensures more out of state money is spent in shops, restaurants, on everyday services and on tourism product and experiences which benefits all Territorians by boosting our economy. DFF nurtures NT's creative industry, empowering independent artists to showcase diverse works to local and national audiences, fostering growth and experimentation.     Thanks to our friends at Industry Skills Advisory Council NT - ISACNT the recent The Darwin Vocational Education and Training (VET) Careers Expo was a great success with over 2000 young people engaging and learning more about pursuing a career in Tourism.   The Airport Development Group, Adina Vibe Hotel and Apartments, Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, Wharf One Food & Wine , and Kakadu Tourism did a tremendous job spruiking the industry and pathways to a fulfilling job in tourism and hospitality.   A special congratulations to Kakadu Tourism for winning Best Tourism Booth at the Darwin event and thank you to all for continuing to be ambassadors and representing our vibrant tourism industry in the Top End.     The Big Rivers Region shone bright on the national stage at the 2024 SA and NT Landscape Architecture Awards.   Baruwei Lookout at Nitmiluk National Park was honoured with a Tourism Award of Excellence and a Regional Achievement Award at the awards. The lookout concept by Clouston Associates was recognised for its innovative design that blends into the landscape.   Kudos to the talented teams behind this innovative design!     This past weekend, as the sun set, community came together at Brown's Mart for the Guyugwa (fire in Larrakia) showcase. Young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal emerging artists immersed themselves in a 3-day creative workshop before performing for the community in Sunday night’s showcase. Guyugwa was a collaboration between Mayála-Bol and Brown's Mart, and a fantastic way to kick off #NAIDOC Week celebrations by highlighting the passion and creativity of young local artists.     All aboard Darwin’s latest luxury expedition ship! 🚢 The Seabourn Pursuit will call Darwin home for the remainder of the 2024 season, with plans to double the number of cruises between Broome and Darwin in 2025.
