Cruising is back on! 🚢 Today, the Coral Princess arrives in Darwin, bringing over 2500 passengers and crew, officially kicking off the NT’s cruise season. Arriving from Cairns and en route to the stunning Kimberley coast, she’s the first large ship of the season, well ahead of the usual October start. And that’s just the beginning! On Sunday, we’ll welcome the Carnival Splendor, fresh from a refurbishment in Singapore, with up to 3,000 passengers and 1,100 crew set to explore our tropical city. This season will see a record-breaking 113 ships docking in Darwin, with an estimated 80,000 passengers, including two large cruise ships carrying over 4,000 passengers each. Did you enjoy the Daminmin Festival over the weekend? We sure did! Activities included clap stick making, weaving, spear making, didgeridoo making, indigo dyeing, bark painting, boomerang and billabong painting to name a few.
