Do you know the purpose of simulation? Our latest research report discovered 60% of supply chain leaders are unsure about simulation, digital twins, and their benefits. We sat down with TMX Senior Director, Nick de Klerk, to discuss why these tools remain unutilised, and to define the differences between them. 👉 Simulation answers “what if” questions by testing scenarios with predefined data. 👉 Digital twins provide live, real-time insights for continuous optimisation. The takeaway? These tools aren't just buzzwords—they can drive real, tangible improvements, but only if organisations are willing to explore new solutions, seek external expertise, and bridge the knowledge gap. Thank you to The Big Umbrella Foundation (TBU) for opening up your doors to us! Last week, the TMX team spent a Thursday volunteering at TBU, helping prepare, cook, and serve meals for those in need. Focusing on zero waste cooking techniques, the team sourced produce from TBU’s urban farm and donations, creating over 250 meals across a menu of 20 different dishes. Since 2010, TBU has been creating and serving meals to people experiencing food insecurity and homelessness and delivers disaster relief services across Australia. Keep up the great work TBU and we look forward to rolling up the sleeves again soon!
