  • I tested the four day work week in recruitment and the results have completely shocked me! A four day work week trial out of the UK had a 92% success rate. But I went into this experiment sceptical because I thought there was no way in hell it would work for recruitment. Tune in for the surprising results!

  • This may be controversial, but I honestly believe that worrying about your competition is a massive waste of time. This is something I learnt quite a few years ago now, but wish someone had told me sooner. The agency I worked at as a baby recruiter was obsessed with knowing what the competition was doing and making sure we were beating them. But honestly, when I stopped thinking about my competitors I made more money because any time I was putting into them was funnelled into: 👉 Better serving my candidates & clients. 👉 Better qualifying jobs & creating better marketing content. 👉 Growing a business that was open minded & information sharing, not cloak & dagger. It may be clichéd, but I really do believe the only person you need to better than (in recruitment or life in general), is YOURSELF, yesterday,

  • If you're that person who feels like they're setting great goals but never quite seem to hit them, this is the truth you probably don't want to hear. Your issue isn't goal setting. It's what you're doing next. Most Recruiters I work with who aren't hitting their goals aren't getting the all important next step right. 👉 Creating the HABITS you need in order to achieve the goal. But here’s the secret: it's not about massive, sweeping changes—it’s about breaking down big goals into micro goals and building simple, effective habits that will see you be successful. So I've put together the ultimate guide on how to combine micro goals + micro habits + the right mindset to get incredible results (link in 1st comment).

  • It's so easy to give up on actions towards your goal when you don't have time or motivation to do it perfectly. Some days are harder than others but don't lose momentum! Instead, set a CEILING, which is the gold standard of the action you want to take towards your goals. Then, you also need to set a FLOOR, which is the bare minimum action you can take. Taking smaller actions in the right direction is better than nothing!

  • Discipline is the ultimate form of self-love. It means sacrificing the comforts of now for a stronger, more fulfilled future. When we resist fleeting desires or stick to commitments even on hard days, we’re feeding our future best self. It might mean skipping dessert, sacrificing Netflix time, or showing up at the gym despite not wanting to. Each 'no' now is a 'yes' to a bigger goal, a promise kept, and the foundation of personal growth.

  • How to turn references into candidates with 5 easy questions. Recruiters know that references can become candidates BUT far too often recruiters let the opportunity pass them by. This happens when you become focussed on securing a placement for the candidate you're speaking to the reference about. I view every reference as having had the seeds planted to start looking for a new job. They are great candidate prospects!

  • It's time to stir up some chaos for big wins! If you've ever watched Jamie Oliver cook you'll know that he makes a huge mess in the process of making delicious meals. The same analogy can be applied to recruitment, sometimes to succeed you need to make a huge mess (with massive action) and then strategise later.

  • Number 10.) of the 10 things I hate about recruitment is when another recruiter gets in and places with my client! In recruitment, nothing grinds my gears more than seeing another agency place in my market or with one of my clients. I pride myself on being competitive, but fair. So when competition creeps into my turf, it fuels my drive to double down and reclaim that win!
