Last Saturday, over 200 passionate community members gathered at the Quindanning pub to defend WA's jarrah forests from desutructive forest mining. They rallied to save the Quindanning spider orchid, protect the beautiful Hotham River from drilling, and protect critically endangered species habitat by calling for an end to South32's destructive bauxite mining. The End Forest Mining alliance was out in force, with a clear message for South32: there is no social licence to progress their expansion plans. The voices of local communities and Noongar First Nations cultural knowledge holders are being ignored. Will you stand with us? Call on state and federal Environment Ministers to reject South32's bauxite strip mining expansion. WA's jarrah forest is a global biodiversity hotspot, home to species found nowhere else on Earth—it must be protected.
