In March of 2022, I moved to Australia from San Francisco. I had no idea what it would be like and I was really concerned about what the visa process would entail. For any other immigrants out there, you know the first step in the process is getting a medical check. Well as an American who is used to a certain level of medical care and attention, I was curious how this "medical check" would be. I was given an appointment, I arrived, was seen, examined, tests run. In a clean setting setting, with friendly people, and a VERY busy office. I was blown away that I was in and out of the office within an hour, and my Australian Permanent Residency journey had begun. So what was the company that was able to give me the best first impression of Australia? Bupa! Fast forward 2.5 years later, I am now a Permanent Resident of Australia, a home owner, married, a father to a 1 year old, and Head of Community at The Startup Network! And at the end of this month, I get to deliver an amazing event with our friends at Bupa for our Body, Mind, Soul Pitch Night, focusing on Health & Well Being Startups!
