We were chuffed to receive this lovely feedback about The Handy Guide, our information and service directory for Queensland women in need, from one of the attendees of this year's Annual Forum on Women and Homelessness. “It is the bible. I work in a field (community corrections) where I am consistently working with women either experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. I frequently provide hard copies to the women or send them the link to link to the online format. It is a godsend of a resource that I am using absolutely every day! I use it to support my women and develop / refresh my knowledge on available services.” Learn more about The Handy Guide here: https://bit.ly/3wYzb5Q

“We have the capacity to do it, and that’s an encouraging thing. When it floods, we can do it. When our state is on fire, we can do it. All of these things are happening to us right now – it’s just a different kind of crisis.” – Nadia Bromley, CEO of Women's Legal Service Queensland This year marks the 40th anniversary of @Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing free legal and social support to women experiencing violence. We sat down with Nadia Bromley to discuss WLSQ’s humble beginnings, the rising demand for their services, and Nadia’s vision for addressing domestic violence in this country. 📖 Read the full article via the link in the first comment.
