After the successful completion of an extensive earthworks program, it's great to see steel going up at Goodman Group’s 26,000 sqm Axle West project in Eastern Creek, NSW!   Located on the doorstep of Western Sydney’s Aerotropolis, this A-grade industrial facility has already been committed to a customer.   As progress ramps up across the remainder of the year, we can’t wait to share more updates as construction progresses.

Works are absolutely flying along at Dexus's six-tenancy, two-facility 17,946sqm Velociti Industrial Estate in Moorebank NSW.   Roofing is complete and cladding well-progressed on both the East and West facility with roofing also installed across the 45m (wide) breezeway separating the two buildings.   An integral component of the estate the breezeway will allow seamless connectivity from the M5 freeway for tenancies within the estate.   Tenancies at the Velociti Industrial Estate range in size from 2,000 sqm to 3,250 sqm. We look forward to sharing further updates as the progress continues to progress towards completion over the coming months.

There have been some significant updates coming out of the final 59,000 sqm, two facility, four tenancy stage of the Broadmeadows Logistics Estate.   The structure on the first half of the site is up, the roof on and external cladding nearing completion. Along the second portion of the site, earthworks are complete footings poured and steel to be erected in the coming month.   One of the first industrial estates in Victoria to target a Green Star Communities rating, we’re excited to welcome the newest additions to an exceptional group of existing tenants (including Allied Express, Holman and GPC Asia Pacific) in the coming months.   Stay tuned for more updates.

With the roof up, and cladding complete, attention has shifted indoors within Super Retail Group’s 65,000 sqm facility at Goodman Group’s RBR Hub in Truganina.   Internal slab pours are complete and we are now preparing for the commencement of the automation fitout. With this, we move one step closer to delivering this state-of-the-art facility that will be home to some of Australia’s most well-known household names.   Having recently handed over the keys to Provincial Home Living’s 22,500 sqm facility within the same estate, we look forward to providing more updates as we continue to progress towards project completion.

Over the weekend, 16 team members from our NSW office pounded the pavement and participated in Sydney’s famous 14km City2Surf "fun" run to raise funds for the KARI Foundation. While there were some interesting facial expressions towards the finish line, it was all smiles before and after the race with the team raising over $20,000 to help fund Kari’s mission of supporting Aboriginal people and communities across Australia. Well done to all competitors and a special congratulation to Scotty Griffin who crossed the line 1st for Team Texco on the day, gaining bragging rights until we go again next year (just ask him I’m sure he’ll happily tell you ALL about it).

An absolutely integral component of all of our projects, concrete literally sets the foundations for a successful delivery for our clients. Considering how much time we spend working with concrete, it was a real treat having members of the NSW team hosted by one of our sub-contractors Gunlake Concrete and Gunlake Quarries to learn more about the concrete supply process at their Preston concrete plant. How concrete is batched and produced, how fibres are added to concrete, where materials are stored, how it is loaded into trucks as well as a look into concrete Testing labs and how test are undertaken represents just a snapshot of what was covered during this extensive site visit. Education and learning is an incredibly important part of what we do here at Texco, empowering our people to grow and level-up in their roles. A big thanks again to the team at Gunlake for taking time out of your busy schedules to show us around.

A pleasure to once again be out on site at the Melbourne Airport Business Park, this time celebrating the commencement of construction for future tenants COPE Sensitive Freight at their new 22,000 sqm facility. With representatives from Pomeroy PacificMelbourne Airport Property and CBRE also in attendance it was a great opportunity to bring together project partners to acknowledge this important milestone. In addition to this 22,000 sqm, works are also well underway just around the corner at Melbourne Airports 32,000 sqm Spec Bravo and Charlie facilities - bringing our total sqm under construction with Melbourne Airport to over 54,000 sqm.

Having delivered over 300,000 sqm over the past 2 years for Goodman Group, and with 95,000sqm currently under construction, we’re thrilled to be heading back to Moorabbin Airport to deliver a 10,672sqm automated distribution facility for customer Lawrence & Hanson.   This project is adjacent to the McCormick facility which we delivered in 2022, bringing the combined size of both facilities to over 35,000sqm.   We look forward to seeing Lawrence & Hanson, Australia’s premier electrical wholesaler, light up Moorabbin in their new space. Stay tuned for more updates as we work through this project.
