Teva setzt auf kollegiale Unterstützung: Mental Health First Aider im Einsatz 🧠💼 Stress im Job, private Belastungen oder Zukunftsängste – Herausforderungen, die uns alle betreffen können. Seit August setzt Teva auf ein neues, internes Angebot: 15 frisch geschulte „Mental Health First Aider“ (MHFA) stehen den Mitarbeitenden als Ansprechpersonen in Krisensituationen zur Seite. Dieses Angebot, unterstützt vom Gesundheitsmanagement und Betriebsärztlichen Dienst, bietet eine erste Anlaufstelle, um Herausforderungen gemeinsam zu bewältigen. Besonders freut uns, dass weit über 100 Mitarbeitende Interesse an dieser Ausbildung gezeigt haben. In einem Pilotprojekt wurden die ersten Kolleginnen und Kollegen in Kooperation mit dem Institut für Seelische Gesundheit in Mannheim ausgebildet – und die Ausbildung der nächsten Gruppe startet schon bald! 🎯 Mit diesem Projekt fördern wir nicht nur die seelische Gesundheit, sondern auch die Kultur der Achtsamkeit und Unterstützung im Unternehmen. As we mark World Mental Health Day in 2024, my perspective is different than in years past. As a psychiatrist and a member of the Teva R&D team, I usually am taking this time to reflect on what we have done this year, and what we can do better to support our patients, develop treatments, and advocate for advancements in mental health care. This year, things feel palpably different. Speaking with friends and colleagues both in Israel and around the world that have been feeling extreme anxiety due to global events, I find myself drawn to a fundamental question: how can we, as a community, better support each other's mental well-being? This year’s #WorldMentalHealthDay theme, “Mental Health in the Workplace,” resonates deeply with this idea. It’s a reminder that anyone and everyone in our lives may be struggling with external factors outside of their control. Prioritizing mental health in the workplace is about fostering a culture of genuine support where individuals can truly bring their best selves to work. At Teva, we’re a team of 37,000, each with our own unique experiences, challenges and lives outside of work. What drew me to Teva, in part, was the inherent understanding of our shared humanity and commitment to supporting each other. From providing counseling and regular mental health services through Teva’s Employee Assistance Program, to managerial training around fostering mental resilience, I’m proud to be part of an organization that supports mental health from every angle. We do our best work when we feel supported, and having strong programs like these allows us to show up more fully for ourselves, our loved ones, and our colleagues. Protecting our mental health at work starts with each other. "In times of darkness, it's our collective strength that lights the way forward." As we mark one year since the horrific October 7th events, we're sharing some thoughts from our CEO, Richard Francis.
Today marks one year since the devastating events that began in Israel on October 7th, and my heart is heavy with remembrance. This day forever changed the lives of so many, including our Teva colleagues, friends, and families. There has been terrible human loss, and the time has long passed for when the hostages and displaced should have been returned home safely. Yet despite these immense challenges, I am extremely humbled and proud of the steadfastness of our people, who have never wavered in their dedication to our purpose of delivering essential medicines to those in need. Their perseverance and commitment are a true testament to the strength and unity of our team, and the courage and compassion shown by our global community deeply moves me. In times of darkness, it's our collective strength that lights the way forward. To my Teva family: your strength and perseverance remind me daily of the power of the human spirit.
