The social platforms have been BUSY lately, testing and implementing several new features. Here are the ones we think brands can make the most of: 🔍 TikTok has updated its Search Ad Campaigns. Brands can now control how they're seen when users search in the app and select relevant keywords to target. This further supports the shift in consumer behavior from traditional search engines to social platforms. ⬅️ Social Media Managers, rejoice! TikTok now allows creators to delete and re-edit published videos. However, this does not apply to edits made in third-party apps. ⌨️ You can now turn on Broadcast Channel replies. Utilising this feature to provide more intimate access to your brand is a great way to build community. However, brands need to ensure they're offering exclusive value and not just using it as another channel to speak at their consumers. ⛓️💥 Instagram is testing the ability to add links to Reels. Once rolled out, this will be a great feature for including direct CTA links. 🎥 The video limit for YouTube Shorts has been increased to 3 minutes. This reflects a shift back to longer-form videos, as long as the content is valuable and entertaining. ✅ Instagram has added a 'Best Practice' section within the professional dashboard.
