Last week, as the official footwear partner of the Hawthorn Football Club, Skechers Australia proudly showcased the new Skechers Football Evolution Pack at Hawks HQ. Launched globally in July, the pack features the SKX01-1.5 Elite and the Skechers Razor Elite in dynamic Yellow & Black colorways. Attendees received an in-depth look at the SKX01-1.5 Elite boot, featuring Hyper Burst Pro inner sole technology for exceptional comfort right from the first wear, and outer moulding details for precise ball control. The Razor 1.5 Elite, designed for the speed of Aussie rules, was also highlighted, featuring a carbon-infused plate for enhanced stability and energy return. Firstly, we extend our warmest congratulations to Janice Novalic and the entire store team on the grand opening of Skechers Castle Plaza in Adelaide. Their dedication and hard work have culminated in an outstanding achievement that we are truly proud of. Remaining in Adelaide, we are thrilled to announce the reopening of the newly refurbished Skechers Outlet Harbour Town. Isabella Gerace and her team have done a remarkable job with the merchandising, ensuring that our shelves are fully stocked and ready to serve our customers. Lastly, journeying up to Queensland, we celebrate the reopening of Skechers Robina on the Gold Coast. Congratulations to Rachel H. and the entire team for their efforts in creating a beautiful new store that reflects the essence of Skechers. Introducing Naomi Wittner, Naomi is a Skechers Sales Account Manager for Victoria. In what ways can you use your voice and platform to advocate for women's rights and gender equality? Culture does not make people, people make culture. When I think about women’s rights, this principle extends from my home life to my work life and everything in between. At home, there’s no gender specific person that cooks or cleans, everyone contributes. At work, you should be confident enough to respectfully reject chauvinistic tendencies, it will make your workplace a little better for the other women around you. Women tend to compete against each other; however, we need to support and empower each other. It’s also about ensuring that women have the same leadership and progression opportunities as their male counterparts. By giving women access to training, development and mentoring this will allow them to enhance their skills, set ambitious goals and progress toward them. How do you prioritize self-care and well-being on International Women's Day?  Prioritising self-care and well-being are essential, because if I can’t take care of myself, I can’t take care of anyone else. Self-care benefits everyone. It’s like they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup, right? Getting a good night’s sleep, regularly exercising, and nourishing my body with a healthy diet sets up a positive regime and gives me clarity of mind. What’s your favourite Skechers piece right now?   My new Skechers GOwalk 7 – Cosmic Waves – the comfiest of trainers! The new technology means I can spend the whole weekend on my feet - perfect for long weekend walks and running errands! #iwd2024

Introducing Melissa C. Melissa is an Area Manager for Skechers Victorian stores. How can you engage in mentorship to support the growth and development of other women in Skechers?   I aim to create an environment where everyone feels safe and empowered. It is important to me that the women I work with believe in themselves. As a mentor, I try to boost their confidence by encouraging them to come up with their own solutions to various challenges they may face in the workplace. It is important to acknowledge those milestones as this illustrates to themselves their individual growth as leaders.   Are there initiatives or charities you support to make a positive impact on women's issues?    Cancer has directly affected multiple women in my family, and as a result I am very passionate about raising awareness and supporting women’s health. I encourage women around me to always put their health and wellbeing first by staying on top of preventative tests and encouraging open conversations about both physical and mental health. #blowakiss for her and the Pink Ribbon Foundation are examples of initiatives that encourage awareness and early detection.   What’s your favourite Skechers piece right now?   I love all the court classic range, but my favourite would probably be one of our latest arrivals, Denali! #iwd2024
