Our capabilities in ingredient supply, as partners to retailers and manufacturing expertise have fuelled our development. We’re an agile, growth orientated business that focuses on innovation and adding value to drive mutually beneficial partnerships. Our head office is located in Melbourne at our Kensington site and we have a further network of offices and warehouses across Australia and New Zealand. We also operate manufacturing facilities in Kensington, Campbellfield and Auckland. Our team today consists of over 300 employees, all inspired by the passion and entrepreneurial spirit of founder, Quin Scalzo. Over 30% of our staff have had successful careers at Scalzo Foods for ten years or more. Meet Annika, our Account Manager in our Strategic Sales team! "My career at Scalzo started in 2016 as a Shipping Coordinator where I quickly realised what a unique and complex business we are. Within 6 months, I was encouraged to apply for a position in the Commercial team as Product Manager which turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only have I found lifelong friends in my co-workers, I was also given the opportunity to learn and grow alongside some of the most knowledgeable people in the business who I still turn to for advice today. I spent 5 years in the team and learned a tremendous amount about the company, the food industry and international supply chains. Not one day is ever the same and it was the excitement of never knowing what challenges and surprises the day will bring that made my job even more enjoyable. My portfolio at the time allowed me to work closely with multinationals and I soon developed an interest in Sales. Once again, I was supported and empowered to explore this further which resulted in me joining the Strategic Sales team as an Account Manager in 2022. Our team of three (see picture below) is small but mighty and I have loved settling into this new role. I have been fortunate enough to have had fantastic mentors and managers throughout my journey at Scalzo so far. Over the years, I have grown immensely, personally and professionally, and I am excited to find out what my future at Scalzo holds. What I like most about working at Scalzo is the positive culture and can-do attitude that allows you to be creative and develop a unique approach to solve problems and make decisions, all whilst knowing, the door is always open if you get stuck and need some advice – or just want to have chat. "I started at Scalzo almost two years ago; I was a new mum nervously returning to the workforce and apprehensive about moving to a new workplace. So far, I can honestly say that I made the right move as the team at Scalzo have been great to work with. We've shared many laughs in the office (who doesn't love a bit of banter?) and I have formed new friendships with people from different walks of life. Managing supply to customers helps when you have a strong, supportive team behind you.
