Huge congratulations to Steve Anagnos and Cameron Duncan on their new income offering at MST Financial! 🎉 📈 Today I got the opportunity to catch up with friends and former colleagues Steve and Cam to learn about their new home. I have worked with Steve and Cam for many years and have enjoyed allocating capital to their income strategies, which has provided clients with great outcomes. On top of that Steve and Cam have provided my clients and I with access to high quality new issuance and facilitated our roll overs. Steve and Cam have always been a pleasure to work with. If you are looking for best in class income solutions it’s worth having a chat with the team. It’s incredible to see the team flourishing in their new roles and leading the way with industry-leading income security solutions. It’s a big win for MST Financial, they have picked up a wonderful group and I am very happy for Gerard Satur and co. I’m excited to hear about the innovative approaches they’re bringing to the investment community and look forward to collaborating with my good friends once again. Here’s to your continued success, Steve Anagnos and Cameron Duncan 🎉

🔑 Top 5 Values for Entrepreneurial success & Scaling your business 📈 Starting a business can be one of the hardest and most rewarding things you will ever do. In my role I am very fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with successful people, Advisers, CEO’s, boards, HNW investors etc.. and every time I am with a successful person I try to get a grasp of the values that make them successful. I have found that, navigating the journey to build a successful business whether that be a book of clients or any new enterprise requires more than just a great idea. It demands a strong foundation of values and strategic milestones. Based on my experience I have put together a short list of the five most crucial values I think are key to build and scale a successful business: ✅ Resilience / Grit: Entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster ride. Resilience and Grit allow you to bounce back from setbacks and learn from failures. It’s about maintaining the drive and optimism even when the going gets tough. ✅ Adaptability: The business landscape is ever-changing. Being adaptable ensures you can pivot when necessary, embrace new challenges, and stay ahead of market trends. Flexibility is key to long-term success. ✅ Vision: A clear vision provides direction and purpose. It helps you set goals, align your team, and inspire others to join you on your journey. Your vision is the north star that guides your decisions and actions. ✅ Integrity: Building a business on honesty and strong ethical principles fosters trust with clients, partners, and your team. Integrity is the bedrock of a reputable and sustainable business. ✅ Passion: Passion fuels persistence and creativity. It drives you to innovate, solve problems, and continuously improve. Passionate entrepreneurs are often the ones who make the most significant impact. The financial planning and investment banking industry is filled with entrepreneurs, building client books and networks akin to a stand alone business along their career journey. We have been conducting quarterly adviser reviews and we are pleased to see our current team possess the above attributes. I have the privilege of sharing what has worked and more importantly what has not worked for me over the years I have been in financial services. When I joined the industry, I would attend investor events and hand out marketing materials with novelty piggy banks. This strategy yielded minimal results, but it was all part of the journey! Without the right team, culture, infrastructure and opportunities it can be a challenge to build a scalable book of clients. We are looking for more like-minded advisers to join River X reach out if you or someone in your network would benefit from a conversation with our team. 🌟 River X Team Joins Sydney City2Surf to Support the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia! 🌟 I am pleased to announce that the River X team will be participating in the upcoming Sydney City2Surf event! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Emma Shulton, Ellen Gilbert, Raine Corley, Kenneth Monares, Sean Dessaix, Daniel Phan & Julius Garofali will join me on the run. As a regular participant in fitness and charity events I am thrilled to see the team buying in to our community giving goal by participating in the event. This year, our participation goes beyond the race. We are dedicated to raising much-needed funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia, a remarkable organization committed to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families. As a father of two young children this cause resonates with me, every dollar raised goes towards making the life of a child with a serious illness better. When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, their life can become consumed by treatments and time in hospital, which can be a scary and overwhelming experience. Organisations like Starlight can help make that experience managable through creating moments of happiness everyday in hospitals around the country, what happens in childhood can last a life time. The Starlight Children's Foundation is known for its incredible initiatives, including: Starlight Express Rooms: Fun-filled havens in hospitals where kids can play, learn, and forget about their illness for a while. Captain Starlight: Superheroes who visit hospitals to entertain and uplift children, transforming their hospital experience into a magical adventure. Livewire: Creative programs that connect teens with peers going through similar experiences, providing much-needed support and friendship. Every dollar raised helps bring joy, laughter, and hope to children facing serious health challenges. Your support can make a world of difference. 🌈 👉 How You Can Help: Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, makes an impact. You can donate here: https://lnkd.in/gyCU2xsf Spread the Word: Share our mission with your network to amplify our efforts. Cheer Us On: Join us on the day of the race to support and motivate our team. Together, let's make a positive impact and help the Starlight Children's Foundation continue its fantastic work. Thank you for your generosity and support! #City2Surf #RiverX #StarlightChildrensFoundation #Fundraising #Community #GivingBack #TeamSpirit

🏆 Balancing Fitness, Family, and Professional Goals 🏆 Recently, Kenneth Monares and I competed in the Sydney HYROX fitness race, achieving personal best times. This accomplishment is the result of months of training and dedication. We had to overcome several challenges including injuries and the recent bout of influenza that hit the east coast. In addition to our fitness goals, we balanced our professional aspirations by signing several new financial advisors to River X and delivering several opportunities to our existing network. It’s great to see the team kicking goals and buying into our professional development program. The same weekend as the race, I celebrated my beautiful daughter’s first birthday and managed to hold over 30 meetings, both face-to-face and online, the week before the event. It was tough getting the sessions in while in transit but we made it happen! This recent journey has taught me the importance of balance and goal setting. Achieving small wins, whether in health, family, or career, can ultimately lead to big wins. Discipline and routine play a crucial role in the process. For me, health and fitness are synonymous with professional development, it keeps us on track to achieve our goals and it’s important to enjoy the journey and take setbacks in your stride. Delivering on our goals for FY25 the team at River X and I will continue to strive for balance, set achievable goals, and celebrate wins along the way. It’s important that we lead from the front and set a good example for our peers. Too often have I seen management talk the talk but rarely do they walk the walk. Congratulations to all of the competitors on the weekend and to HYROX APAC on an amazing event. The River X team will be back next year! #GoalSetting #FitnessJourney #ProfessionalDevelopment #WorkLifeBalance #Discipline #Routine #SmallWins #BigWins

Over the past few weeks I have seen an increased number of EOFY celebratory posts from our peers. Almost every year in review post that I have seen talks to X% of FUM growth or X% of headcount growth. Which for anyone following the River X journey would know these statistics are a foregone conclusion for us. However, I think the review of FUM, headcount and client number growth is a dated way to view the growth of a wealth management practice. If you haven’t seen growth in those key areas there is something wrong with what you have done in the last financial year. A better measure of the growth of a business in this forum is the personal and professional development of the staff and clients at your practice. Have your clients and staff both achieved their personal and financial goals? What about the loyal staff that have been with you since your inception? How have you rewarded or enriched the lives those team members that are the bedrock of your business? I can honestly say that over the last 12 months we have helped change many of our teams lives for the better. I have seen a tremendous amount of growth across our team, right from our most junior to senior executive team. The depth of our new advisors client offering, positive client outcomes, positive reviews from clients, positive feedback from staff, increased compliance and professional standards… these are the things that that matter when measuring of the growth of your business. The baseline financials are just the beginning and frankly they are expected in our line of work. So here’s to a wonderful FY24 and looking forward to an equally productive year ahead! I would like to take a moment to recognise the wonderful work that every member of our team has put in and the tremendous personal and professional growth I have seen from each of our team members. Some of the milestones I am looking to forward achieving next year with our team include: ✅ Further promotion of health, fitness and general wellbeing of all staff. ✅ Additional education, upskilling advisors and enhancing client offerings. ✅ The launch of our retail FP AFSL. ✅ New offices (we can’t fit in this one anymore). ✅ Further enhancement of client experience and outcomes. ✅ Nurturing our advisor cohort’s overall growth through regular professional development sessions and goal setting. ✅ Continue to build a desirable home for financial advisors through client and executive team alignment. ✅ Continued accountability from management, walking the walk not just talking the talk. ✅ Leading the charge and setting a good example for all staff, with a balance of time between work, family, community giving and good health. If we can end FY25 the same way we did FY24 the financial outcomes of the business will speak for itself and we will continue to celebrate the success and development of River X I hope the industry as a whole enjoys a strong year ahead! Here are a few snaps of the year that has been!

We are excited to share the career development journey of our team member, Adler Wang. After starting as an intern in January, Adler quickly demonstrated her dedication and talent, leading us to bring her onboard as a full-time member of our desk. She now excels in her role as Advisor Support and Junior Analyst.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This milestone is especially significant for Daniel Phan and I, as Adler is our first hire since merging our books in January 2024. It's an exciting step forward, with much more to come this year!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ To support Adler's career growth, we recently held a professional development session focusing on her transition to a junior analyst role and enhancing her client communication skills.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ During our session, we:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣• Assessed her current skills and identified areas for growth.⁣⁣ • Created a personalized development plan.⁣⁣ • Conducted role-playing exercises to improve her client communication.⁣⁣ • Set specific goals and provided resources for continuous learning.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We are impressed by Adler's dedication and hard work, and we look forward to seeing her progress.
