As we shared last week, we’ve been focused on ensuring our regional network operates without disruption and we're proud to say that since Wednesday last week we’ve carried thousands of passengers across hundreds of sectors. It has been great to see and hear the response of our customers and experience the groundswell of support for Rex’s continued success from ordinary Australians, as well as Governments, business, tourism bodies, and other stakeholders. Today we are sharing a video update on the voluntary administration, including what you can expect from Rex during this period, and our continued commitment to keeping you flying on the regional network during this difficult period.

Important Update: Voluntary Administrators appointed. Regional Express Holdings Limited (ACN 099 547 270) and a number of its subsidiaries (ASX: REX) (the Rex Group) have entered voluntary administration. These are detailed on the Rex Group’s website. Samuel Freeman, Justin Walsh and Adam Nikitins of Ernst & Young Australia (EY Australia) have been appointed Joint and Several Voluntary Administrators by the Rex Group’s respective Boards of Directors. Regional Saab 340 flights are currently unaffected by the administration and will continue to operate. Domestic 737 services are grounded with Virgin Australia offering impacted Rex passengers free of charge rebooking. To find out more information about how these changes affect you, please watch this video or head to the Rex website – www.rex.com.au.

✈️Exciting announcement✈️ We are delighted to announce the launch of the Raising Horizons program! Beginning early 2025 in Townsville, North Queensland, Rising Horizons is a unique initiative aimed at empowering and inspiring Indigenous youth, particularly girls, to explore careers in aviation. Launched by Gunggandji Aerospace in partnership with NRL Cowboys House, Rex Airlines and funded by the Australian Government, this program will provide hands-on experience and industry engagement to students from 29 remote and regional communities across North and Far North Queensland, including the Torres Strait Islands. WE DID IT - Rex flights connecting Australia’s east and west coasts have finally taken off! ✈️🎉🥳 Rex is now flying five days a week between Melbourne Airport and Perth Airport with its Boeing 737s, and three days a week between Adelaide Airport Limited and Perth Airport using National Jet Express Embraer E-190 jets, delivering a new era of competitive pricing for travellers. 🛫 Rex Chairman the Hon John Sharp AM thanked the hundreds of passengers travelling on its inaugural services for their patronage, and urged Australians to “give Rex a go”. "This is a milestone moment for Rex, and one our amazing staff have worked so hard towards since our first domestic service roared down the runway just a few years ago," Mr Sharp said. "On behalf of Rex Airlines, I want to thank the three State Governments and each of the Airports and Tourism bodies who got behind us but especially, I wish to thank our passengers. "We are delighted you chose to fly with us today and we hope you and many more Australians will give Rex a go because we are delivering more competition, all you have to do is support us." REX HEADS WEST AS BEST DOMESTIC CARRIER 🥇 Just days ahead of its first domestic flights to #Perth from #Melbourne and Adelaide, #Rex has toppled both Qantas and Virgin to be the most reliable major #airline in Australia, latest figures show. Data released today by the Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics (BITRE) reveals Rex had a near perfect cancellation rate, and beat the major two in on-time performance. More than 99 per cent of all Rex scheduled domestic flights took to the skies in May, with the airline cancelling just 0.6 per cent of its #Boeing737 services during the latest reporting period. Rex’s on time departure rate was similarly impressive, with figures showing 85.5 per cent of Rex domestic flights left on time, well ahead of Virgin on 79.2 per cent and Qantas on 81.1 per cent. Lowest airfares across the Nullabor in almost 15 years. You’re welcome WA, SA and VIC. 🛫🎫 As the The Australian Financial Review reports: “New analysis from the Australian Airports Association shows the $99 sale fares offered by Rex to celebrate the commencement of the new route will be the lowest prices available since 2010.” Competition and consumer advocates have consistently said that when more airlines compete on a particular route, the public benefits, and our record in the domestic markets speaks for itself. We call it the “Rex effect”: ticket prices fall when Rex enters a domestic route. Support competition. Support Rex. Give us a go! #rexairlines #aviation #competition
