In line with our Strategic Plan, we are prioritising an independent review of our Talent Pathway and all associated structures and activities in 2024. Given the many changes impacting Queensland Talent Pathway at both state and national levels, now is an opportune time for a comprehensive and impartial review of all associated structures and activities to ensure sustained success in the years ahead. The objective of this review is to establish a sustainable framework that enhances and promotes opportunities for all within the performance and talent pathways and will be conducted by Mike McLaughlin from McLaughlin Sports Consultancy. Engagement from our touch football community is crucial for a comprehensive review and we will provide opportunities for community involvement through e-surveys, interviews and focus groups from February to April. We look forward to our community having a high level of engagement as we build a strong culture where we present a fair process and provide opportunities to our players, coaches and referees. 2023 - what a year it has been! Throughout the year we had many triumphs. Starting the year on a high we hosted our first Women Leaders in Sport development program in February, we headed up north to Rockhampton for the first time for Junior State Cup, hosted the largest Gold Coast Titans All Schools ever and renewed our partnership with Major Events Gold Coast to continue the Festival of Touch on the Gold Coast for another two years. Plus, we delivered a record amount of touch football programs in schools, saw a 29.8% increase in participation and continued the development of rising coaches and referees. Thank you to our partners for your support throughout the year. Let's look back on some of our 2023 highlights that made it a year to remember!
