About us
Pride in Health + Wellbeing is a national membership program that provides personalised support to organisations to improve their LGBTQ inclusion and thus improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ communities. Covering both service delivery and workforce inclusion this program is unique within Australia and supports and enables organisations to better support their LGBTQ staff, volunteers, and LGBTQ communities accessing services. The program provides 1:1 mentorship, training, and advice on embedding LGBTQ inclusion throughout all aspects of an organisation; from direct care provision, policy and process design, quality improvement planning, recruitment and workforce policies, advocacy, as well as personalised staff development and training. The program provides you with your own contact for unlimited phone and email support, as well as in-person training. Pride in Health + Wellbeing provides specific guidance on how your organisation can better understand the barriers to accessing care faced by the LGBTQ communities, as well as their specific health disparities. It provides your staff with practical examples of how inclusion is part of all roles and solutions to some of the common myths, systematic barriers, and objections you may be facing in furthering your inclusion work. The program is suitable for all organisation in the health, welfare, or human services sector, from government, peak bodies, NGOs, and direct care providers. Pride in Health + Wellbeing will assist you in ensuring your organisation is inclusive of LGBTQ people, embedding it in all your public-facing work, and making LGBTQ health and wellbeing a priority.
