Today we’re heading into the archives and looking back on our work with Mona - Museum of Old and New Art. We worked with Mona during the planning, construction and operation of Siloam, a subterranean expansion of the museum. The project involved complexity both above and below ground. Our team provided mining geotechnical and structural engineering services for the below ground structures which involved the construction of a 39 m long tunnel and two underground chambers. Last week, Robert Casimaty and Brad Gibbins attended the Australian Water Association 2024 Tasmanian Where the Waters Meet Conference in Hobart. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry peers and talk about all things water. The theme of this year’s conferences was 'The Water Chain – Linking Drops to Make Waves: Innovation, Collaboration, and Delivery.' A particular highlight from the event was the panel discussing AI’s impact, focusing on the emerging role of generative AI and its current and potential use in the industry. Rob provided insight as to how the industry had utilised and embraced technology over his career and where it may go next with the emergence of AI. As a sponsor of this year's conference breakfast, we were delighted to be a part of another great event. #pittsherry

Congratulations to Ben Maynard, Carl Ptolemy and the entire team at Grange Resources on receiving EPA and council approvals for a new underground mine at Savage River. This is a landmark project, as not only would it be Australia’s first underground iron ore mine, and one of only a few in the world, it would also be the first underground mine approved in Tasmania in recent years. pitt&sherry's planning and approvals team were delighted to support Grange through the approvals process and working with relevant authorities to achieve this outcome. Exciting times for Grange and the Tasmanian minerals industry. #grangeresources #pittsherry #tasmanianminerals #innovation
