After two decades of teaching at Newington Public School, Mrs Linda Eldridge, from the Gamilaroi Nation, will be retiring at the end of this year! As a special tribute, her Year 1 class shared their gratitude for everything that Mrs Eldridge has done and the positive impact she has had on their learning and their lives. ❤ During her time at Newington, Mrs Eldridge has been heavily involved in the school's Indigenous education initiatives and has led the implementation of the school's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). She has worked as a reading specialist teacher, and taken on the role of school librarian, sharing her love of reading and literature with all K to 6 students. 📚 💚 Congratulations on an incredible career, Mrs Eldridge. We are so grateful for all that you have contributed to the profession. Newington Public School will miss you! The 2024 HSC written exams kicked-off this morning with English Paper 1! We'd like to wish all the best to the HSC Class of 2024 as they complete exams over the next four weeks. Our message to HSC students is to stay focused, keep working hard and remember to look after your mental health too; take regular breaks from exam prep, check-in with your mates, and reach out for support if you need it. You've got this! 💪 #HSC2024
