💧 Partnership rolls out new water refill stations. Thanks to Unitywater and council, the shire has eight new water bottle refill stations. ♻️ They help reduce single-use plastics and keep our community hydrated. Disturbingly, more than 7 million tonnes of rubbish ends up in the world's oceans - 80 percent are plastic. These new refill stations have a spout for filling water bottles, a bubbler to drink straight from the fountain and a dog bowl to keep furry friends quenched. Mayor Frank Wilkie and Unitywater CEO Anna Jackson happily road tested the new fountain at Peregian Beach.
