Disrupting Noise Pollution at the Source
About us
Noizend is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of excessive noise pollution, particularly low frequency noise, that affects communities worldwide. Noizend will be using applied science to tailor solutions for specific problems based upon the proven science of active noise control and researching and developing products to be licensed to businesses. The United Nations in its 2022 Frontiers Report “Noise, Blazes and Mismatches” highlighted the 3 major environmental issues facing the world a 'triple planetary crisis". The first issue is Noise Pollution especially in cities. This is a global problem. Solving this problem will provide a global business opportunity and also help make the world a little bit quieter for everyone's benefit near the active products.

The noise generated by heat pumps is a growing concern for many, potentially hindering the energy transition in the UK. While modern heat pumps are designed to be quieter, significant challenges remain. Harvie-Clark aptly notes, “There are other issues with how noise limits are characterised. For example, a heat pump’s defrost cycle, which is louder than its normal running level, is not included in MCS’s noise tests. Nor is low-frequency noise, nor any information on tonality or directionality.” At Noizend, we are committed to overcoming these noise challenges with our Noizend Shield technology. This innovation ensures a peaceful and quiet living space while embracing greener technologies. By addressing noise concerns head-on, we are supporting the transition to sustainable energy and making it more accessible and acceptable. Let’s move towards a sustainable and quieter future together! 🌍🔇 #Sustainability #HeatPumps #Noizend #Innovation #QuietLiving

We are thrilled to announce that Noizend has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the City of Sydney under the Innovation and Ideas Grant – 2024-25 Summer Round program! 🎉 This funding is a significant milestone for our company. Our project, 'Low-Frequency Noise Control to Benefit Residents and Visitors' aims to address the pervasive issue of urban noise pollution. We’ll pilot our technology at Elliott Harper, Michael Mancuso and Sam Mancuso’s live music venue, Cult. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the City of Sydney for this generous support and acknowledge your role in our success. Special thanks Lord Mayor Clover Moore AO for continuously encouraging innovative projects to improve urban living conditions. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey to make our cities quieter and more livable! 🌟 #Noizend #Innovation #NoiseControl #UrbanHealth #Sustainability #CityOfSydney #GrantAward

Noizend is delighted that we have reached another significant milestone, adding considerable energy to our journey forward. We have demonstrated that active noise control (ANC) technology (as proven and applied in noise-cancelling headphones) can be used in a broader environment to reduce low-frequency noise. This noise goes straight through most current passive noise barriers like double-glazed windows. ANC is based upon the proven science that a noise sound wave can be cancelled by an equal and opposite phased sound wave. In our demonstration video, the first speaker creates the low-frequency sound, the microphone picks up the sound, and the second smaller speaker produces the anti-noise wave. You can hear how the low-frequency noise is significantly reduced as the camera moves from the sound source to behind the second speaker, producing anti-noise waves. As the camera moves back, the sound increases again. Truly a remarkable milestone for Noizend. For a short video of our demonstration see See https://lnkd.in/gYcvEd2j

A recent study reveals that noise pollution significantly impacts avian growth, stress levels, and survival rates. Birds exposed to noise had reduced body mass, elevated stress hormones, and lower survival rates. Let's protect our wildlife from the harmful effects of noise pollution by elevating the proven science of active noise control to entropic open-air environments. 🌍💚 #NoisePollution #WildlifeConservation #Sustainability #Noizend

The recent Scientific American article by Joanne Silberner serves as a stark reminder: our world isn't just loud—it's unhealthily noisy. Noise pollution isn't just about annoyance; it's a productivity drain that impacts everything from our stress to heart health. At Noizend, we're hearing the call rather than answering it. Our process uses cutting-edge active noise control (ANC) technology not to mask but to control low-frequency noise through destructive interference. It's our way of reducing the volume by empowering businesses to be as noisy as they want and allowing residents to enjoy their homes' peaceful and quiet enjoyment. #Noizend #UrbanHealth #Sustainability #SmartCities

Construction noise spooks trained military horses in London Recent events in London have highlighted the urgent need for innovative solutions to manage construction noise. Five trained military horses of the Household Cavalry were spooked by loud noises at a construction site during a rehearsal, leading to a chaotic situation where the horses, along with some soldiers and a cyclist, sustained injuries. See BBC article at https://lnkd.in/gPmHvmTc. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the immediate and disruptive impact of construction noise, not just on daily operations but also on the well-being of both humans and animals. At Noizend, we are dedicated to tackling this issue head-on using advanced manufacturing and materials technologies. Our development of the Noizend Shield aims to offer a portable, flexible solution to effectively reduce low-frequency noise from various industrial applications, including construction. As urban environments grow, the challenge of managing noise pollution becomes more significant. The long-term health effects of continuous noise exposure are well-documented, aligning with concerns raised by international bodies like the United Nations and the World Health Organization. We invite you to join us in our mission to enhance urban living conditions through advanced noise reduction technologies. Noizend is solving chronic low frequency noise problems in the urban environment. Noizend has been approved to join NVIDIA's Inception Program for Start-Ups. One area that Nvidia’s CEO mentioned in his speech as a growth area is in digital twins: using AI to build online versions of real-world situations. Noizend’s process begins with creating a digital twin of a customer’s premises through Nvidia. This twin is the foundation for their predictive sound wave modelling using AI. The result? A breakthrough in mitigating low-frequency noise, a challenge unmet by conventional methods, is now addressed head-on by the Noizend Shield.
