The Nextt Group specialises in supporting people with Autism, Intellectual Disability and Mental Health.

About us

Nextt started around 20 years ago as a small company providing in-home care. Since then, through hard work, client growth and the acquisition of businesses, we have expanded the range of services we provide as well as the breadth of skills of our staff. We have built a strong specialisation in supporting people with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Mental Health and other cognitive support needs. Our focus is on person-centred active support to assist each person to get more out of life. Nextt has moved away from the traditional model of care by providing leading programs and individualised services that help people with disability to meet their goals and become more independent. Nextt is well known for the warmth and passion of our staff, and for our well-researched and evidence-based programs available to people of all ages. We pride ourselves on being responsive and continuing to seek a better way of doing things! Are you ready to join us to help individuals get more out of life?

Sean H. joined us for Wear It Purple Day as our Guest Speaker 💜 They shared their experience and all the amazing work they do with the Rainbow Youth community. The theme this year is 'Your Passion, Your Pride' with the message of understanding that people are more than just being part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Individuals have passion and pride in who they are as well as what they do and be able to share that passion with their community. Sean is based in Adelaide and works as an LGBTIQ+ Peer Worker, Rainbow Connector and Founder of the Queer Society. They focus on opening up the conversation with young people to give them space to ask questions and provide representation and awareness to the wider community. "There is more to a business than having a policy based on being inclusive. It's acting on it and providing a safe space for people to feel they are accepted as they are and belong in the workplace." - Sean Henschke At the end of the presentation, we were grateful to have Nextt employees the opportunity to share their personal experience in a moving and vulnerable way. We appreciate and cherish our Rainbow Community at Nextt Group and the culture of acceptance and belonging. #WIPD #YourPassionYourPride #LGBTQIA+

With close to 20 years’ experience, Nextt offers a proven record of providing personalised support for complex disability and mental health, no matter what time of day or night. For individuals with NDIS funding for Supported Independent Living (the supports) and Specialist Disability Accommodation / SDA (the actual housing), Nextt works with some of Australia’s leading SDA providers. Improved Liveability design incorporates a reasonable level of physical access and enhanced provision for people requiring sensory, intellectual or cognitive supports. Robust housing design incorporates a reasonable level of physical access provision and resilience, to reduce the likelihood of reactive maintenance and risk to residents and the community. Pictured are a few properties where there’s availability in the robust and improved liveability design categories: - Frankston, Melbourne (first 2 photos) with InPlace Living: Robust - Delacombe, Ballarat (top right) with DEC Housing: Improved Liveability & Robust - Armstrong Creek, Geelong (bottom right) with Connected Living Solutions: Robust Our focus is on providing supported independent living (SIL) services that seamlessly fit with clients’ chosen housing, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Across Victoria, NSW, Qld and South Australia, Nextt offers supported independent living (SIL) services in a range of housing solutions for people with disabilities, funded by the NDIS. SIL is a service funded by the NDIS designed for those who require significant assistance, often around the clock or for large parts of the day. Some clients live in standard housing, and we work with real estate agents and other professionals to help find housing solutions that suit them. The Nextt team are seeking a housemate for existing resident/s in each of the four locations pictured clockwise from top left: 🏚 Hendon, Adelaide – live with one other housemate 🏚 Seaton, Adelaide – live with two other housemates 🏚 Manly, Brisbane – live with one other housemate 🏚 Carlingford, Sydney – live with two other housemates We carefully match housemates and support workers based on clients’ specific requirements, to create a peaceful living environment. #NDIS #disabilitysupport

It’s NAIDOC Week! ⚫🟡🔴 KEEP THE FIRE BURNING! BLAK, LOUD AND PROUD Across the Lands where Nextt provide support to people with disability, we encourage individuals to attend local events to learn more about histories, ways of being and Country of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Instead of holding a big event by the organisation on behalf of First Nations People once a year, we decided the best way to participate, learn and show allyship is to open our hearts and ears to the Traditional Custodians of the land. Supporting local Blak businesses, actively listening to Elders and advocates, and showing allyship are just some ways to show support, not just during NAIDOC week, but throughout the year. #NAIDOC #FirstNations #BlakLoudProud #KeepTheFireBurning

🔦 Spotlight on Adelaide The Nextt team is proud to provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across Adelaide, and we’re currently seeking housemates in several properties, some in standard homes and others in Specialist Disability Accommodation. Our team – with backgrounds including nursing, behaviour support, allied health and more – invests considerable time reviewing compatibility between potential housemates and identifying support workers in response to resident's preferences and support requirements. 🏚 In Seaton, close to the beach and city, we have a couple of guys seeking a housemate with 1:3 SIL funding, with affordable rent inclusive of bills. Their interests include superheroes, movie nights, barbeques, and multi-player gaming. 🏚 And up in Andrews Farm, we’re pleased to be working with Specialist Disability Accommodation provider Vera Living on a brand-new home. The current two housemates who value positivity and creativity are looking for someone to join them, with SDA funding and 1:3 SIL funding. Details of these and other supported independent living openings across Adelaide are with our local Business Development Manager Melisa Bednall
