Over this time we have grown steadily to cater for growing demand, achieving an enviable record of both client and employee retention.     This month, Nature turns 18. What started as a one-man band in the 2nd bedroom of a flat on a $35 Ikea Flarke desk has slowly but surely organically grown to today be a business of 60 across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and New Zealand. Today, we’re proudly Australia’s most decorated indie insights agency. What’s always made Nature special is that the start up values that got us through Year 1 have not just stayed alive, but been embraced by our team, for each of our 18 years. Our people treat this business like their own, making the most of the freedom and agency given to them and acting with great responsibility to do their best for our clients. When our people grow, we grow, and our clients benefit. The result is a business that’s stronger than ever, and very excited about what the future holds.     A big shout-out to our Nature team for completing their Mini MBA in Brand Management and securing second place in their final grading, as part of a cohort comprising 900 participants from across the globe!   Our team of five – Sophie Wallis, Mikayla Samuels, Si Hunt, Jacqueline Erny, and Hayden Evans –finished the 12-week program last week.   At Nature, we're dedicated to helping our people grow and it is a core part of who we are.   We also believe in the power of teamwork, collaboration, and diverse perspectives.       Last week we had a Nature team offsite.   All of our people from Melbourne, Sydney and NZ got together in our Melbourne office for the day.   Why did we do this? To reflect on who we are, why we exist, where we are going, what we value and how we roll.   And then after this massive day, we all kicked on and had a night out on the town too.   Now we all have had a few days to reflect, three things stood out:   Team days are a magnetic force individually and collectively Taking a whole day as a company to be off our usual tools is big and special. But you realise how culturally potent it is too. You can never underestimate the value of coming together to sense check that everyone is aligned on the important stuff: who we are, what we stand for and the work we do on our own, in our teams and as a company. This is the kind of day that brings us all closer together.   Set the table so that everyone has a seat Some of the team have been at Nature a long time and others a short time, some have had long careers and others just getting started. Plus all different practices are in the room. What stood out more than any other thing during the day is that everyone chipped in, felt comfortable to share their ideas and perspectives and critique. It was the perfect representation of our values, Owner's Mindset, living and breathing.   The real magic is in turning the conversations into something tangible There's a lot of good vibes that come from spending a day together and you can't help but leave feeling really connected and close as a team. What is hard, but essential after a day like this, is synthesizing all the thinking and ideas and translating them into outcomes. That's the real power of a day like this, knowing you are part of something bigger than yourself and that you've helped shape what happens next.   A massive shout out to Simon Dowling who masterfully facilitated the day for us once again. Simon has been our Nature offsite facilitator over the years and for all the right reasons. He brings endless positive energy, knows how to handle a curve ball and keeps us on brief and challenged from start to finish.   #natureinsights #mrx #bcorp

    Here's some of our Nature team who joined the Run Melbourne yesterday. With over 25k runners at the event plus family, friends and dogs, it was a minor miracle this many of us still managed to find each other for a photo at the end!   Collectively we ran over 128km and have so far raised $2,883 for our partner charity, Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre.   They are an incredible charity with an important mission to provide services and support for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.   We wanted to give a final nudge to our final fundraising efforts: It only takes a minute to contribute, and every donation, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping us support Safe Steps and the incredible work they do.   https://lnkd.in/gvMWECTk Thanks for all your support!   #natureinsights #safesteps #bcorp #communitysupport

    This Sunday, Nature will be participating in the Run Melbourne. Here's some photos of our team who will be running!   It’s become an annual tradition over the years and this year, a third of our team will be lacing up their running shoes and hitting the pavement. Whether they are seasoned runners or first-timers, they're all united by a common goal: to raise funds and run for Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, our partner charity.   Safe Steps is the only 24/7 family violence response centre in Victoria.   A big shout out to Suzanne Paynter and Rachel Misitano who joined us from Safe Steps last weeks. They shared their mission with us around providing evidence-based support and services for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.   Over the past 12 months, they have responded to approximately 60,000 calls and provided over 35,000 bed nights in secure crisis accommodation.   As part of our fundraising efforts for Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, we would like to call on our community to consider making a donation to our Nature running team this Sunday.   It only takes a minute to contribute, and every donation, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping us support Safe Steps and the incredible work they do.   https://lnkd.in/gvMWECTk   #natureinsights #safesteps #bcorp #communitysupport
