Taking off and touching down in Sydney will soon have a new look for Aussies and international travellers alike ✈ Progress at Western Sydney International Airport is soaring, and the new terminal is packed with innovative design to benefit travellers once the airport is operational in late 2026.   From bid to build, Multiplex has worked collaboratively with our design partners Airbiz, Woods Bagot, and client Western Sydney International Airport to bring the architectural vision to life while enhancing the design and customer journey.   Taking inspiration from the world's best airports, travelling through this integrated domestic and international terminal building will be a world-class experience. Actively supporting IDAHOBIT each year at Multiplex isn’t just about raising a flag – it’s about using the opportunity to start a conversation, raise awareness and take a real stand against discrimination in our industry. Multiplex UK has successfully wrapped up a material passport trial at our One Nine Elms project in Vauxhall, London. Teaming up with Maconda Solutions, we utilised innovative UPCYCLEA UK software to create passports and extract figures and generate scores relating to the carbon, circularity, material health and financial residual value of the project - the ‘Circular Signature®’. As part of our pledge to achieving net zero onsite emissions by 2025, Multiplex has partnered with AMPYR Solar Europe and entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of a Solar Power Station in Norfolk. This deal will allow our UK business to procure renewable electricity directly from the station which will cover a total area of c.a. 40 acres. and is expected to produce more than 9,000 MWh of green energy annually – enough to power the equivalent of over 2,100 homes. It will displace 2,850 tons of CO2 each year compared to traditional energy production, equivalent to taking 675 cars off the road for a year. This agreement marks progress in our efforts to reduce our carbon emissions and contribute to the industry's journey towards decarbonisation."
