The history of Monadelphous is intricately woven with the story of Rob Velletri, our long-time Managing Director and now Chair of the Monadelphous Board. Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in Monadelphous' history as we honour Rob's 35th anniversary with our company. We have been so fortunate to have Rob at our helm for three and a half decades, and it's a testament to his leadership that so many of our employees measure their time with Monadelphous in decades rather than years. In the gruelling heat of Townsville, our own Lead Engineer, Ciaran, not only faced the tough conditions of the Long Distance Triathlon but also clinched an outstanding 8th place at the 2024 World Triathlon Multisport Championships! Ciaran embraced the challenge and achieved his top-10 finish goal. 🏅✨ He started his journey to competing on the world stage when he started running while working FIFO. "While I was working FIFO in 2017 till about 2021 I ran a lot! So, when I finished working FIFO I had a bit more time on my hands. A triathlon was a natural progression from running,” he shared. "Hearing the announcer say I had finished 8th in the world was a highlight for sure!” Ciaran now has his sights on the upcoming Ironman 70.3 World Championship in New Zealand. 💪 All the best, Ciaran!

This week, more than 100 leaders from across Australia gathered for our Engineering Construction division’s annual two-day Leadership Conference in Perth, Western Australia. This year the theme, Leading through change, focused on the team’s ability to lead a business that keeps our people safe, well and focused on delivering to our customers. The conference delivered some powerful lessons in leading with humility, and how to foster agility and resilience in the face of change. The conference brought together many long-term Monadelphous leaders, new faces and internally promoted talent, who embraced the opportunity to work with different colleagues from across Australia to build momentum on recent successes and plan for the years ahead. A big thank you to our external presenters Rabia Siddique, Cam Stevens, Robbie Figg and Martin Hassan for their enthusiastic encouragement and words of wisdom informed by their own exceptional work and life experiences.

Meet Sophia, one of our electrical apprentices who started her journey as a trade assistant. 💬 "I really enjoy challenging myself to learn new skills every day and working with so many different experienced tradespeople to gain knowledge from," Sophia shares. Her advice? "I would recommend people to join a trade because there are so many diverse pathways and opportunities available for every person."
