The latest Walls that Talk exhibition is now featured on the facade of Maitland City Library, showcasing seven unique headpieces created by talented artists from The Mai-Wel Group. In this exhibition, the artists serve as their own muses, drawing inspiration from their lived experiences and artistic journeys. The headpieces, crafted from materials like paper and paint, embody this internal muse, reflecting themes of self exploration, expression and the transformative power of creativity. Maitland City Council's Place Activation team is proud to have partnered with Mai-Wel to bring this collaboration to our community.
