Fiona Morris hosted the Radical Women of Cycling in Victoria, Australia. A prominent Australian cyclist and cyclocross racer for the MAAP / Sixpence CX team, Fiona shares her experiences with us as she reflects on the Radical Women of Cycling global ride series. "As the sun sets on the first Radical Women of Cycling global ride series, you can be sure this is just the beginning. The impact will keep reverberating as momentum gathers pace, and a movement can be ignited. As female cyclists, we are united in carrying forward the legacy of a more inclusive, diverse, and vibrant cycling community for women and women-identifying cyclists. Our journey does not stop here because we are the Radical Women of Cycling." As national news of the unfortunate event breaks, the team are left wondering if they'll be able to compete or if this becomes a home visit to forget. What follows is a true act of human kindness and a gesture that symbolises the unifying bond of the women's pro peloton. Series powered by Wahoo. In this edition of Training Grounds, we explore San Francisco’s iconic streets and hills with Aymen El Gorani, the newest addition to Team Away Message. Aymen’s commitment to self-improvement is embodied in his mantra, "No one cares; work harder," driving him to excel in both his cycling and his social services career. Despite the demands of Ramadan, Aymen’s dedication remains unshaken, adjusting his routine to fit early morning rides. His favorite routes, from the social FatCake Thursday Loop to the challenging BoFax Climb, showcase the diversity of the Bay Area’s cycling terrain. Beyond training, Aymen cherishes the community, frequenting spots like The Coffee Movement and Brecks with fellow riders. For Aymen, cycling is more than a sport; it’s a means of unwinding and giving back. As he continues to push boundaries in San Francisco, his story is a testament to passion and perseverance. Help Wanted: An Alt_Road program supporting our planet's playgrounds and people in a series of environmentally conscious rides. Last year, we introduced the program to be a part of helping to protect and preserve the natural and wild spaces in which we all ride. This year, we will continue to focus and expand our efforts with partners and riders around the world. Here's a recap of our journey so far, knowing we still have so much further to go this year and the years to come. Ride I: British Columbia with @___diversion (IG). In support of BC Parks Foundation working to protect, enhance and sustain the region's parks, while inspiring and connecting people to them. Ride II: Iceland with Chris Burkard, @brietkristy (IG), @emilthor and @kriacycles (IG). In support of Jorfi, a local Icelandic non-profit specialising in glacier research and conservation. Ride III: Tasmania with Andy Rogers in support of the Bob Brown Foundation, campaigners against ongoing forest logging and the protection of wildlife in their natural habitats. A special shout out to all the riders and partners who've made this endeavour possible!

Bangkok-born and raised to ride, LaLaBelle is a self-proclaimed happiness maker. Once you meet her, you realise she's got the goods to deliver on that promise. From the bustle of her city streets to rides further afield, LaLa always dials up the heat from somewhat balmy to full speed sizzling. Actress, synth musician and lead singer, she simply refuses to be boxed in and we love the beat of that tune. For out latest edition of Training Grounds, MAAP caught up with the Thai trailblazer in the Southeast Asian city of angels, where she loves nothing more than to rip in on her trusty Standert. Catch her if you can… https://lnkd.in/gxuBDXNp
