In case you haven't heard, today is Wear it Purple day. Awareness is one key focus area, so I thought I would do my bit. Last year I was assaulted and hate crimed 👊 because someone took a severe disliking to me being gay 🙃 Enter, ugly picture of me at Chicago airport 👹 (After an ambulance to hospital. Not me winking, I actually couldn't move that side of my face. They also broke my wrist.) This is not a pity post, I just hope that some people are able to acknowledge what marginalised people have to deal with - still 😵 If you can walk down the street minding your own business, not be at risk of being verbally/physically abused, harassed, discriminated against and just in general feel safe in your everyday life - then count yourself lucky 🍀 Some of us are not that ‘lucky’ 🤯 Whether you are a business or an individual, for the sake of all people that come under the pride flag 🌈 and anyone that sadly faces this type of hate and discrimination just for being themselves... Be Understanding 💖 Be Inclusive and 💖 Be a Good Human 💖
