Where it all begins

About us

At Journey Early Learning, we aim to create an environment that is safe, secure and homely; where everyone feels welcome. Our future is one filled with endless possibilities and growth opportunities, and together, we’ve developed an educational approach that is inspiring, stimulating and encouraging. When it comes to early learning, our educators have a vital role to play. Journey educators are passionate, considerate, educated, inspirational and welcoming. Our educators understand that learning is a journey and enjoy developing deeper connections with children, families and the wider community. All our educators hold a minimum Certificate Ill in Children's Services and each room has an educator who also holds a Diploma in Children's Services or higher. Every educator is provided with professional development and a customised professional development plan. For parents, the quality of educators is one of, if not the most important consideration — that's why we continually empower all Journey people to do their job to the best of their ability. Every journey has to begin somewhere, and yours begins right here.

  • 🌟 We sat down with Jasmine, our incredible Early Childhood Teacher at Journey Gumdale! She shared her passion for edcuating and the joy of seeing little ones grow and develop each day. At Journey Early Learning, our ECTs like Jasmine play a crucial role in shaping young minds and building strong foundations for a bright future. 🌱✨ Full video here! - https://lnkd.in/gu8HFc3r

  • It's National Wildlife Week here in Australia! To celebrate, we're throwing it back to our Crocodylus Park excursion for some of our Kinder children in the Northern Territory... 🐊 The children had an incredible opportunity to explore and learn about the natural habitat of crocodiles, discovering fascinating details such as their age, size, diet, and much more! Alongside the crocodiles, they also observed birds, fish, and turtles. Exposure to diverse experiences and environments is essential for children’s holistic development. Regular outings within the local community offer endless adventures and learning opportunities, supporting their growth in a fun and engaging way! Want to see the full video? We had an amazing time at the 2024 ECA Conference. As part of Journey Early Learning's unwavering dedication to our educators' personal growth, we invited some educators to join in hearing from some of the sector's leading speakers. This opportunity reflects our broader commitment to investing in development of our Journey Family, ensuring continuous support for educators, children, and families. Following the conference, we have already initiated an inspiring collaboration with participants to reflect on the valuable insights gained. Together, we are exploring ways to deepen this knowledge and extend its impact across the entire Journey family. We look forward to the opportunities ahead as we continue this journey of growth and shared success.

  • Last month, we celebrated Book Week in our Journey Indooroopilly centre by hosting one of our wonderful parents, Sarah (who also happens to be a wonderful published author), in to read us her latest story. Sarah didn't just read her enchanting story—she brought it to life. The children enjoyed listening to the tale of Haru and Yuka, making wishes, and drawing monkeys and foxes inspired by the book. 🦊 We love connecting with our community in these special ways... thanks for coming in, Sarah!

  • We had the privilege to sit down and chat with some of our Educational Leaders about why they love being a part of the Journey family. Through their inspiring stories and insights, you'll see just how much our Educational Leaders care about making a positive impact in the lives of children. https://lnkd.in/gwqQQ_Pn

  • We had an absolute blast adventuring through the beautiful Ballarat region this month! Despite the super chilly start to each day (hello -3 degrees! 🥶), the warm welcomes we received made it all worthwhile. A huge shoutout to all the Journey Ballarat centres. We felt right at home thanks to your consideration and enthusiasm. ❤️ We captured some amazing footage from our educator’s remarkable career journeys, participating in an Inspire program and a handful of community excursions. It was a fantastic 3 days, filled with memorable moments that we've put together in a little video to cherish. If you're on TikTok, make sure to follow us and engage with our content!

  • This week, many of our Centre Managers and Educational Leaders gathered for one of our Learning and Development Sessions. At Journey, we believe that the role of our leaders is truly about understanding people. This empathy and insight are essential for fostering a supportive and nurturing learning space. That is why, as an introduction to today's learning session, everyone was asked to create a portrait of their counterpart. We’re excited to share these wonderful results with you!
