It's great to see the first containers unloaded at our site with our partner. These will shortly be installed and commissioned, enabling the production of approximately 2,000 tonnes per year of sustainable activated carbon from locally sourced feedstocks. The activated carbon produced from this site is particularly suited to drinking water and wastewater treatment, along with PFAS remediation. With two more trains due next year, this site will become a local hub for activated carbon manufacturing. This marks a significant step forward in our mission to enable low-cost and sustainable activated carbon production, and we can’t wait to see the impact this facility will have on the future of clean water and sustainability.

Fantastic to have the Hon Ed Husic MP Minister for Industry and Science, Judith Collins, Minister of Defence of New Zealand, and Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency stop by the SA finals and student showcase of the Andy Thomas Space Foundation’s Kids in Space national education program. Today, 13 SA schools are sharing their solutions to 1) help astronauts to work and live in space; and 2) solutions using space technologies to design something that will help solve a problem on Earth. This project received grant funding from the Australian Government through the Australian Space Agency.

If you've seen any of our latest plant photos, you might have noticed that we use a specific type of hardware called a 'rotary kiln'. These kilns are crucial for our activated carbon production process for several reasons: 1. Versatility: Rotary kilns handle feedstocks with varying particle sizes and moisture content, effectively addressing common biomass feedstock challenges. 2. High Throughput: Indirect-fired rotary kilns can manage high throughputs, processing up to 20 tonnes per hour in mineral processing plants. 3. Controlled Atmosphere: Indirect-fired rotary kilns allow precise control of the internal atmosphere, ensuring consistent product quality. One of our goals is to produce the highest quality products possible, and rotary kilns play a significant role in helping us achieve that! 😄
