Helping SMEs transfer the Financial Risk Exposure of a Cyber Incident through Cyber Insurance

About us

Cyber Insurance is a specialist coverage, which requires a specialist skill set. Unlike General Insurance policies (Property, General Liability, Motor Vehicles etc), Cyber Insurance requires an understanding of both Cyber Insurance as well as Cyber Security. Infosure works closely with IT and Cyber Security professionals, and is Australia’s first dedicated Cyber Insurance brokerage, setting us apart from General Insurance brokers by offering a truly holistic advisory approach to Cyber Insurance for our clients. At Infosure, we don’t just offer Cyber Insurance, we specialise in it.

“Cyber Insurance is too expensive” Is it though? Or is it that you have never really been shown the value? - Incident Response - Digital Forensics - Threat Actor Negotiator - PII Reviews - Legal Advice for Internal Compliance - Legal Advice for Third Party Liability - Public Relations Team - Notification Costs - Credit Monitoring to assist those affected - Rebuilding your Network - Business Interruption Costs - Funds Stolen or Socially Engineered Now there’s a list that’s too expensive… #cyberinsurance #infosure

What makes our specialist Cyber Insurance offering so unique here at Infosure. We believe it comes down to 2 simple things. Time and Passion. 1 - Time We focus all our time on Cyber Insurance. We are not spending all day trying to convert “whole of account” insurance programs, or finding an insurer for that risk we’ve never done before, because we offer all types of insurance services to anyone that will buy them. We only focus on Cyber Insurance. And because we have so much time to focus on Cyber Insurance, we’re getting better and better at it by the day. Which means you benefit from our Intellectual Property. 2 - Passion Cyber Insurance isn’t the pain in our side cover that we can’t seem to understand, or don’t want to bring up with our clients because we don’t really know how to advise on it, risking an uncomfortable conversation. It’s our bread and butter, and we are actively looking to have Cyber Insurance conversations. - Conclusion Call us weird, but we see Cyber Insurance as the most exciting new insurance cover since, well, we don’t even know how long. And with the shift in Legislation catching up on Data Privacy and Cyber Security. It’s only getting bigger… #cyberinsurance #infosure

Things are changing, and with the potential Privacy Act amendments on the way, they may be changing a lot faster than you think. But why should they change? It’s very simple. Every company requires Data to operate. And that Data is incredibly valuable in the wrong hands. So when this Data gets compromised, and it comes out of your business, others deserve to know whether you tried your best to protect it, or you avoided your responsibilities every chance you were given. The in depth requirements of Incident Response make it very expensive, and that’s outside of Lost Funds, Downtime to Business Operations, or lost Customers due to Reputational Damage. And that’s where Cyber Insurance comes in. But not all Cyber Insurance is created equally. The covers you will need the most are not readily handed out by Insurance companies. So, discover your options, from a company that made Cyber Insurance that pays claims their priority. www.infosure.com.au #cyberinsurance #infosure

“New research from insurance provider Aviva found that businesses are 67% more likely to experience a cyber incident than a physical theft and almost five times as likely to have an attack as a fire.” Full Article by Beth Maundrill below: https://lnkd.in/ex5d48B7 Whilst this may be a UK article, there’s no doubt it also applies similarly to Australia. Less than 20% of Australian businesses have a Cyber Insurance policy, so this article makes that statistic even scarier. This can honestly be summed up with one simple question. How many businesses would go without Building and Contents insurance? #cyberawarenessmonth #cybersecurity #cyberinsurance #infosure

October marks the start of Year 2 in business for Infosure. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us, whether it be through exposure on LinkedIn, providing an opportunity for Andrew Brett, CCIS to discuss Cyber Insurance (passionately of course!) and most importantly, transacting policies through us. Whilst we still have a long way to go, we feel it is important to take this opportunity to look back and celebrate Year 1, which will always be crucial to our future development. So from us to you, thank you! 🥂 #cyberinsurance #infosure

We are on a mission to help 2M+ Australian SMEs uplift their Cyber Security through Cyber Insurance That is our WHY. You may not fully understand exactly WHAT we do, and that is fine, but the above hopefully now explains WHY we do it 😀 Cyber Insurance isn’t a Band-Aid for crap Cyber Security. If you want to buy Cyber Insurance to avoid spending time and money on your Cyber Security posture, then you are not an Infosure client. Cyber Insurance isn’t a posture. It can only be the backstop to a well respected Cyber Security posture. End of conversation. It’s why we’ve publicly backed Peter Maynard and Ryan Ko’s Cyber Security Certification Australia (CSCAU) SMB1001 Certification. Because this gives both us and Australian SME’s some definitive guidelines on what to aim for. And more importantly, WHY to aim for it. I.e. Do everything you can do yourself first. Build a genuine Cyber Security culture from the top down, invest in your team of Cyber Security professionals, understand Cyber Security is a journey not a destination. And then implement Cyber Insurance to soften the blow of that “worse case scenario”. And if you do your part with Cyber Security, we promise you Infosure will do its part with Cyber Insurance! #cyberinsurance #infosure

In Australia, we are now starting to see an increase in what we call “enforced cyber insurance purchases”. These have been mostly by way of business contract requirements I.e. Licensor requirements to their Licensee’s, New business Tender requirements around carrying Cyber Insurance etc. The problem with this is that it rushes the process. There’s now deadlines in play, money on the line, and so the pressure piles on because it’s now very reactive instead of proactive. Our concern is that this is just with a few coming in here and there. If this becomes a thing for the majority of business tenders and contract requirements, (like we know it will eventually), businesses are all going to be scrambling to get this done at the same time. The result of this is that some will miss out on new business tenders, because they can’t get their cyber insurance cover in place on time. Then add in the obvious risks of these policies being placed with the wrong insurers for the risk, or incorrect information being used to get the cover over the line in time, and you have a very dangerous concoction in the event of a claim. The alternative? Start now. Be ready. Be the company who gets their business tender in first because you already carry Cyber Insurance. #cyberinsurance #infosure

This one goes out to all the business owners that say: “We have really good IT Practices so I just don’t think we have a need for Cyber Insurance” We say this because it’s usually those that say this that have IT teams mentioned in the below article. You would walk into their IT Teams room and you’re greeted by bags under eyes and a pile of energy drinks in the corner….. The business owners we know and deal with, that have Cyber Insurance, understand their IT Team is crucial to their business, and they staff and fund them appropriately, however things happen. So just like they pay their Building, Liability and Motor Insurances every year, Cyber Insurance has now become a crucial part of their Insurance program. Business owners, do us a favour, go check in with your IT Teams. #cyberinsurance #infosure https://lnkd.in/gcqvmz83?
