The industry collaborative winner is… 🏆 Industry Collaboration of the Year 🎉 “IAHA NT Aboriginal Health Academy” – a collaboration between Indigenous Allied Health Australia, IAHA Group Training and Fox Education and Consultancy. The IAHA NT Aboriginal Health Academy supports Aboriginal year 11 and 12 students to undertake a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance as school-based trainees. The business finalists have been waiting patiently to hear who were crowned the winners 👑 The business category winners are…. 🏆 Small Employer of the Year 🎉 Surf Life Saving Northern Territory Surf Life Saving NT operates from three Territory clubs. It provides many services, including lifesaving and first aid training, as well as commercial lifeguard and first aid services. 🏆 Large Employer of the Year 🎉 Hastings Deering Hastings Deering takes pride in delivering work-class training. This year, they inducted 5 first-year diesel fitter apprentices, totalling 12 in Darwin and 4 in Alice Springs. 🏆 Small Training Provider of the Year 🎉 Institute of Skills and Training Australia The Institute of Skills and Training Australia has launched a cooking program within the Barunga and Wugularr (Beswick) communities. It has delivered pre-employment programs in the hospitality sector resulting in promotions after training. 🏆 Large Training Provider of the Year 🎉 Charles Darwin University (CDU) The re-establishment of TAFE at CDU has been a huge success, resulting to a 22% rise in student enrolments. We’re excited to announce the next 3 individual winners. 🏆 Trainee of the Year 🎉 Storm Cloud 🏢 Employer: St John Ambulance NT 📚 RTO: WANT Training Services Storm completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with an ambition to deliver accredited first aid training. She started her traineeship with St John NT to challenge herself, gain new skills, build confidence and connect with the community. 🏆 Vocational Student of the Year 🎉 Courtney Stewart 🏢 Self-employed 📚 RTO: Charles Darwin University After quitting her job in a cattle station, Courtney started an apprenticeship. Now she operates her own salon while completing a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. 🏆 VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year 🎉 Maureen Simon 🏢 Employer: Charles Darwin University Maureen’s passion for training started when she worked in early childhood centres. Maureen loves being innovative, seeing the student’s success and creating pathways for them to achieve. She is determined to show her children the boundless opportunities through dedication and perseverance. 🏆 School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year 🎉 Zane Edwards 🏢 Employer: LP Airconditioning 🏫 School: Casuarina Senior College 📚 RTO: Charles Darwin University With a focus on construction and engineering, Zane completed a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
