🌟 We had a great time last week workshopping Socially Inclusive Play Spaces with the landscape architects at the City of Stirling (Western Australia)! It was great diving into how to break down physical and social barriers at playgrounds so that children of all abilities and their caregivers can explore and interact on their own terms. If you’re a local government authority keen to create more inclusive playgrounds in your community, we’d love to chat about how our new workshops can help you! 🙌🏽. #CityofStirlingWa #CityofStirling #InclusionSolutions #InclusionMatters #inclusionworkshops #AccessiblePlayground #AccessiblePlaySpaces

La Trobe University recently released the report, Rainbow Realities, providing an in-depth analysis of the health and wellbeing of LGBTQA+ people in Australia. The report sheds light on the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially those with disabilities, relating to mental health, bullying, and social exclusion. But it also emphasized the importance of role models, peer-to-peer support, and engagement within the LGBTQA+ as a whole, as well as how positive, identity-affirming experiences in the workplace can play a vital role in decreasing discrimination and social isolation and improving mental. This is one of the reasons we believe in the importance of our career exploration program Infinity X. Through the program, we're supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 18-30 with a disability to build connections, meet role models, and explore unique career opportunities. We've seen some amazing outcomes from attendees, and we're eager to continue working on future iterations of this program!

🌟 Meet our Scheduling Team! 🌟 Often referred to as the engine of our home care program, this team is a dynamic group of four from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal to support our clients through compassionate home care services. Every new client service request comes through this team and they aim to match support workers with clients based on language, culture and location wherever possible and ensure continuity of care. ❤️ Angelina Q: What do you enjoy most about being part of the team? A: "I enjoy the amazing group of friendly and interesting people I get to work with. It feels less like going to work and more like spending time with family or friends. The supportive and welcoming atmosphere makes each day enjoyable and fulfilling." 🎤 Talya Q: What’s your favourite karaoke song? Would you sing it for our clients? A: "My favourite karaoke songs are 'Ouana' by Josh Tatofi and 'Stuttering' by Jazmin Sullivan. But I’ll pass on singing for anyone. I'd probably pass out first!" 👂 Marianna Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in aged care? A: "We were given one mouth to talk and two ears to listen. Anyone thinking about working in aged care must be a good listener. Elders are full of wisdom and experiences, so take the time to hear them out and never underestimate their capacities." 🙌 Prativa Q:How do you ensure that each clients feels valued and respect on their care journey? A: "The best way to make a client feel valued and respected is by implementing processes that enable them to feel valued. The top three ways are to ask for feedback, build trust, and engage."
