Through engaging presentations, Ben shares his experiences of inclusion as someone with a disability. La Trobe University recently released the report, Rainbow Realities, providing an in-depth analysis of the health and wellbeing of LGBTQA+ people in Australia. The report sheds light on the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially those with disabilities, relating to mental health, bullying, and social exclusion. But it also emphasized the importance of role models, peer-to-peer support, and engagement within the LGBTQA+ as a whole, as well as how positive, identity-affirming experiences in the workplace can play a vital role in decreasing discrimination and social isolation and improving mental. This is one of the reasons we believe in the importance of our career exploration program Infinity X. Through the program, we're supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 18-30 with a disability to build connections, meet role models, and explore unique career opportunities. We've seen some amazing outcomes from attendees, and we're eager to continue working on future iterations of this program!
