Thank you to QBE Insurance for hosting the annual Goals for Good event over the weekend. The QBE Foundation's incredible generosity is pivotal in helping us support and mobilise communities and volunteers to address the humanitarian impacts of climate change. #AustralianRedCross #Humanitech #QBEAcceliCITYResilienceChallenge
What an incredible weekend at the SCG! The QBE Foundation hosted its annual Goals for Good event during the thrilling AFL clash between the Sydney Swans and Fremantle Dockers. We're excited to share that we donated $75,000 for our community partners and the Sydney Swans Foundation! For each of the 14 goals scored by the Swans, we pledged $3,000, and thanks to the team's stellar performance, we rounded up the donation to $75,000. This contribution will make a significant impact, supporting various community initiatives and through the Sydney Swans Foundation. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the event! #QBEFoundation #SydneySwans #GoalsForGood

Collaborating and Delivering Digital Products and Solutions at the IFRC: a new report that brings together practice and lessons learned from across the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including from Australian Red Cross Humanitech.
How we collaborate as a global network is complicated and beautiful. Imagine considering - how can we collaborate and deliver digital products and services @ International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC. We wrote up some lessons, case studies and recommendations from over 50 people across multiple events including the global Connect Conference (RCRC movement) and IFRC Solferino Academy Global Innovation Summit. It was a pleasure to lead this exploration with Richard Lines Emmanuelle Ménard-Marchand, MPM and Juriaan Lahr. Thanks to all the case study teams Katy Southall Samantha Clifford Jessica Ports Omar Abou-Samra OKHEE KIM Jonathan Chua ,and contributors across National Societies. To summarise, we suggest the following pathways to change: (report link in comments) Identifying needs and opportunities for shared ownership — digital products and services can have a better impact when built with communities, National Societies, and functional experts (e.g., emergency operations, climate, and health). Employing best practices to develop and maintain digital products — requires us to modify our delivery models inside our organisations in research, UX, development, testing, overall support models, etc. Be efficient with product development — we need better coordination and collaboration, not multiple ‘competing’ products or building in parallel with complementary options, including open-source methodologies. Revised models for long-term sustainable impact — we must foster and create new digital product and service models, including sharing lessons as a network. #innovation #digitaltransformation #productmanagement #servicedelivery #servicedesign #communityengagement #transformation #humanitarian #collaboration #opensource #opendata #networkcentric #networkengagement #products #digitalservices
