Our Springboard to Tech Program is back, designed to support women transitioning into, or returning to, a technical career. This 12-month, paid program includes on-the-job experience, formal training, mentorship, and coaching. At the end of the program, participants are offered ongoing, full-time placements within REA. 🌟 I've been wrapping up what I learned in my final project at Holberton School, and it's been an incredible learning experience! As part of this process, I updated both my frontend and backend templates, with a strong focus on ensuring source code quality emphasizing consistency, readability, and reliability. One of my key tasks in this project was implementing a CI pipeline to consistently test and maintain code quality. This included: 🔍 Unittest: Ensures each piece of code functions correctly in isolation. 📏 Flake8: Enforces PEP 8 compliance, maintaining code style and standards. 🏷️ Mypy: Statistically checks type annotations to catch type-related errors early. 📋 Isort: Automatically sorts and organizes import statements for cleaner code. 📊 Radon & Xenon: Analyze and enforce code complexity metrics, ensuring maintainable code. With these tools in place, All Python code in the backend is rigorously tested and only merged once all checks are passed, ensuring top-tier code quality. If you have any recommendations for other great tools to enhance my CI pipeline, I'd love to hear them!
