Earlier this week a team from Golf Australia's Participation team exhibited at The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) South Australian Primary Health and Physical Education Conference.   The conference aimed to educate, innovate and share best practice, and provided a range of sessions that are of importance to Health Educators, Physical Educators, Sport Educators and Wellbeing Educators, as well as Classroom Teachers, Recreation/Sport/Health Professionals and Sport Coaches.   The Golf Australia team was specifically showcasing MyGolf Schools program, connecting with the 100 teachers in attendance and providing information on our three new program offerings: Mini Golf, Pitch and Putt and Swing It programs.   The team was also able to showcase the CoachMate app that makes teaching golf easy for teachers, even if they have no prior experience with the game.   Teachers were very enthusiastic about the offerings, with plenty of positive feedback received and interest shown for greater connections through Sporting Schools 🏌♀️ ✏ 😍

Last week Golf Australia's Government Relations team, alongside the Clubs and Facilities and Places to Play team welcomed Women in the Sport and Recreation Industry to a morning of golf at Latrobe Golf Club's Island Course.   With the objective of providing a positive touchpoint with golf, attendees got to experience a fun and relaxed 5-hole round at Latrobe's short-course.   The golf was followed by an information session where key insights on the positive impact golf has on health and wellbeing was highlighted, and where the Golf Australia team shared the current participation trends.   The day was filled with breaking down barriers, meaningful relationship building, and also gave Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia the chance to explain how they can offer support to Women in the Sports and Recreation Industry involved with golf. 😍 ⛳
