Even if your brand is well-established, it’s important to reassess it from time to time. As your brand identity and expression evolve, a refresh offers the opportunity to evaluate your current positioning and present a renewed vision to your staff, clients, and the market. For a successful refresh, we recommend identifying the key drivers for change, aspirations, and design parameters early on. Defining clear criteria from the start ensures the best outcomes. By understanding your brand’s core elements—who you are, what you stand for, and why you exist—you can guide the refresh and ensure your updated identity resonates across all touchpoints. How often do you think a brand refresh should happen? We'd love to hear your thoughts! #brandrefresh #goldi #branding

When a client wants to do something bold or different, Goldi is always open to the challenge. Last year, Ipswich Art Gallery transformed its children’s gallery into a vibrant maker’s space, encouraging kids (and adults!) to discover the magic of clay through hands-on creativity. Goldi developed an exciting identity and experiential design to appeal to both the young and the young at heart. Quirky clay characters come alive across stickers, posters and vinyl graphics, teamed with vibrant wall colours and custom shelving, the design set the scene for creativity and fun. We loved receiving some wonderful feedback from our client: "It is truly a privilege to develop programming in our beautiful Children’s Gallery. I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Angela and her team for their invaluable collaboration. Her contributions have been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and I am grateful for her thoughtful insights and support." — Hannah Attwood, Former Engagement and Operations Manager Client: Ipswich Art Gallery Photography: Thomas Oliver

Welcome to Play Central! We had the absolute pleasure of working with the Queensland Museum Rail Workshops to give their beloved indoor playground a much-needed refresh after almost 20 years! From new signage and a playful new name to brightening up the softfall, we helped bring their vision to life. The highlight? A bold train map graphic wall feature that ties everything together and gives this space a fresh identity. With playful mounds and a vibrant palette of primary colours, Play Central is now the perfect spot for little adventurers to explore. Take a look at the transformation! Yesterday our Director, Angela Golding presented at the Museums & Galleries Queensland Belonging Conference, where she explored the power of design in fostering belonging, connection, and understanding. Angela shared her insights on creating experiences that go beyond traditional design—ones that touch on emotions, senses, and thoughts to truly make an impact. One of the highlights of her presentation was discussing the importance of audience connection. Angela emphasised that successful design is more than aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces where people feel seen and understood, where stories come to life, and where every interaction leaves a lasting impression. She illustrated how collaboration, bravery, and authenticity can transform the design process and outcomes. At Goldi, we believe that design has the power to inspire and bring people together. It’s not just about the visuals—it’s about the stories behind them, the connections they create, and the inclusivity they foster. Thank you to everyone who attended the conference. We hope you walked away inspired to think about design as a tool for creating more meaningful, inclusive experiences in your own spaces. #inclusivity #goldi #artsandculture #mgq24

The Workshops Rail Museum at Ipswich holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors, serving as a living testament to Ipswich’s rich history and industrial heritage as the birthplace of Queensland Rail—once the state’s largest employer. Positioned to embrace the region’s growth, the museum remains a hub for community, learning, and celebration. Goldi led the recent visitor entry renewal project with distinctive wayfinding and placemaking solutions across external areas. To implement the updated Queensland Museum brand and signify the change in operations we created a landmark entry statement that welcomes visitors into the new Railway Park, combined with new banners, updated wayfinding signage and striking graphics. Our holistic design approach was built around four key principles: Placemaking, Flow, Activation, and Curiosity. The theme "Imaginative Connections" creatively integrates rail references with coloured tracks that travel down signage and across the ground to assist navigation and activate the space. It’s great to see this iconic location moving into its next chapter with a fresh look and an improved visitor experience. With numerous exhibitions under our belt, we understand the intricate process of bringing them to life. Exhibitions are more than just displays—they’re vital spaces for telling important stories, connecting people to history and culture, and sparking inspiration through art, interactivity, and moments of wonder. We take pride in working hand-in-hand with galleries, museums, and libraries to craft exhibitions that don’t just engage but invite people to feel a sense of belonging, deepen their understanding, and immerse themselves in the richness of the visual experience. But we’re curious—what captivates you most when visiting an exhibition? Is it the engaging visuals, the interactive elements, the power of storytelling, or the design of the space itself? Let us know by casting your vote in the poll below! #exhibitions #storytelling #artsandculture

Creating a brand identity that fosters a sense of belonging and supports the diverse talents of Ipswich's artists was at the heart of our recent project for the Ipswich Community Gallery. Tasked with crafting a new identity, we focused on highlighting the gallery's role as a steppingstone for emerging artists while ensuring a harmonious connection with the Ipswich Art Gallery. The new identity fits seamlessly, like a puzzle piece, with the established Ipswich Art Gallery “stamp,” reflecting the unity between the two spaces and their shared commitment to uplifting the local artistic community. The design includes a dynamic graphic system that provides flexibility across all marketing platforms, allowing the Ipswich Community Gallery to continue inspiring and supporting creativity in the region.
