We're passionate about inspiring a sustainable future and thank our airport partners for their help in reducing our impact on the environment. The final countdown is on! The Gold Coast Marathon not only showcases the beauty of our region but also drives significant visitation to the city with this year's event attracting a record breaking 30,000 entries! Today we marked the first birthday of Paradox Coffee Roasters & Bar at Gold Coast Airport 🎂 To celebrate the special milestone, our partners at SSP Australia & New Zealand planned an exciting instore celebration fit with birthday cake, giveaways and of course a coffee taste testing experience! ☕ Congratulations to all of the Paradox team! 🎉

As part of our efforts to reduce landfill and help conserve our local environment, Gold Coast Airport is proud to have established a new partnership with Tweed Landcare - in which we'll be donating the funds we accumulate through the Containers for Change QLD (COEX) refund scheme for the next 12 months.   Thousands of people fly through Gold Coast Airport each day to enjoy the natural beauty of northern New South Wales, so the airport is proud to support organisations that conserve the local environment.   Tweed Landcare has previously won the Wildlife & Habitat Conservation award at the Tweed Sustainability Awards. Key projects include rainforest restoration around the Tweed Caldera and supporting Dunecare and Landcare groups, including weed management along the Tweed Coast beaches.

Raising money for a good cause? Yes cheese! Only 2 more sleeps until this year's Vinnies CEO Sleepout, where 11 QAL team members will spend the night in the cold, sleeping rough at Cbus Super Stadium raising money to support the vulnerable members of our community. Thanks to our friends at Domino's Tugun, who donated pizzas for our fundraising lunch yesterday and our partners at Heinemann, HMSHost, SSP Group plc and WHSmith for your generousity in donating prizes for our raffle. The fundraising drive allowed us to raise a further $503 which Queensland Airports Limited matched dollar for dollar, taking our overall efforts to more than $13,000.
