In the depths of our oceans, you never quite know what might join you on a dive!! During a recent environmental survey, our ROVs were conducting routine operations when a curious visitor decided to tag along — a shark! As our team watched the live feed, we were reminded of the incredible and unpredictable environments we work in every day. These moments emphasise why we’re passionate about using cutting-edge technology to explore and protect these delicate ecosystems. With every dive, we learn more about the ocean’s mysteries and how to safeguard them for the future. At Fulcrum Robotics, we’re always up for an adventure, even when the unexpected happens. #MarineTech #ROV #EnvironmentalSurveys #OceanExploration #SharkEncounters

Revealing the wreck of the SS Lake Illawarra.....Exciting news from beneath the surface! 🌊 Our team recently completed a remarkable subsea scan of the SS Lake Illawarra shipwreck using our worker-class ROV and advanced 3D structural scanning sonar. The level of detail we were able to capture is simply amazing, providing a highly accurate 3D model of the wreck and the debris field in zero visibility. Our cutting-edge technology enables us to explore, monitor, and preserve underwater heritage like never before. It’s a fascinating combination of robotics and sonar technology, offering unprecedented insights into the structure and condition of this historic shipwreck. Proud of the team's effort and looking forward to applying these capabilities to even more challenging subsea projects! #ROV #Sonar #3DModeling #SubseaExploration #Shipwreck #MarineTechnology

When I was heading into university 30 years ago, young women were often encouraged to pursue traditional career paths like nursing (which I chose) and education. While these fields are incredibly important, there weren’t nearly as many opportunities for women to explore areas like technology, engineering, or robotics. Today, the landscape has changed dramatically, and the possibilities for young women are limitless. It's up to us to inspire and open young minds to the exciting world of technology—the future! At Fulcrum Robotics, I often say, “I just hire people who are a lot smarter than me!” The lessons I’ve learned from our talented staff have been invaluable, and there’s nothing we love more than seeing our team members use their skills—and their degrees—in such innovative and exciting ways!

This past weekend, Fulcrum Robotics had the privilege of sponsoring the Club Motori Italia (CMI) Domain Hill Climb, a thrilling event that brought together car enthusiasts, drivers, and the broader community. The energy was electric, but what stood out most was the sense of camaraderie and connection fostered throughout the event. At Fulcrum Robotics, we believe in supporting initiatives that strengthen our community. Clubs like CMI provide more than just a platform for competition—they create spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can bond over shared passions. Whether you're behind the wheel or cheering from the sidelines, events like the Domain Hill Climb remind us of the importance of teamwork, dedication, and local pride. These gatherings offer a place where enthusiasts can challenge themselves, test their skills, and push their limits in a positive, safe and inclusive environment. They promote personal growth, build friendships, and help to sustain the culture of collaboration we value so deeply at Fulcrum Robotics. We were honored to be part of such an exciting day, and we look forward to continuing to support community-driven events like this. After all, it’s not just about what happens on the track—it’s about coming together as a community and driving forward, together. Thank you to the City of Hobart for their continued support of this event.
