What is Jersey Day? In May 2015 the Gremmo family’s life changed forever when their eldest child, Nathan, was critically injured in an accident at age 13. The Gremmo family's story is both touching and inspiring. Their decision to honour their son, Nathan's memory by promoting organ and tissue donation is a powerful tribute to his generosity.  Nathan’s amazing gift saved the lives of six people – including five young adults and a baby. By establishing Jersey Day, they’ve created a meaningful way to raise awareness and encourage conversations about the importance of organ donation. Jersey Day not only celebrates Nathan's legacy but also highlights how one act of kindness can make a profound difference in the lives of others. By wearing a jersey and talking about organ donation, people can help spread the message and potentially save more lives. It’s a beautiful way to keep Nathan’s spirit alive and make a positive impact in the community. Did you know: • One organ donor can save the lives up to seven people! • In 2023 five out of 10 families agreed to donation when they were supported by a donation specialist in the hospital • There are around 1,800 Australian’s currently waitlisted for a transplant and a further 14,000 people on dialysis who could benefit from a transplant Fresenius Kabi Australia & New Zealand supports this wonderful cause, and our staff were more than willing to share photos in their jerseys, to help spread awareness! #jerserydayau #donatelife #FreseniusKabiANZ #CommittedToLife #FutureFresenius

The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence has a new name—Bullying No Way: National week of action. Bullying No Way Week, 12 to 16 August 2024, is Australia’s key bullying prevention initiative. At Fresenius Kabi Australia and New Zealand we believe when everyone feels a sense of belonging, there's no room for bullying. It’s about accepting our unique selves, honouring each other's differences, and collectively standing against unkindness. Belonging involves each of us playing a part in preventing bullying. We are urged to speak out, foster a safe environment where everyone feels valued and supported, and ensure that our voices are heard and respected. We promote inclusion, respect and belonging. Purple has become the emblem of Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, reflecting our commitment to fighting against bullying. The theme for 2024 is ‘Everyone Belongs’.
