We're excited to unveil the first Fraser & Partners collaboration with G-LUX and Linkstone Australia led by Associate Director and Head of Interiors, Melissa Leung. This collaboration repurposes odds and ends from 40 different types of natural stone offcuts into bespoke feature tiles for our new Melbourne architecture office - transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, with zero waste. Swipe to explore the process at the Linkstone Australia Factory, where G-LUX natural stone slabs are precisely cut and shaped using a water jet cutting machine. Over 60 slabs have been transformed into more than 100 custom tiles, each unique in its design - ready to be installed. For St Boulevard, our multi-residential project situated on St Kilda Rd boulevard, the people have been put front and centre. This design has been created for an emerging social group we like to call the ‘modern primitive’. At 601 St Kilda St, we developed a masterplan for the site as well as the design for the three buildings that sit on it. A straight, front façade contrasts with stepped down volumes to the back carving out a scalloped curve. Façade treatments are a nod to Paris’ Bibliothèque Nationale – a silvery glass shell with semi-reflective qualities, activated by the changing positions of the thin timber screens fitted to the interior of each apartment. #stkilda #architecture #melbourne

// 🔥 GURNER™ Secures Approval for $1.7 Billion ‘Elysium Fields’ Wellness Precinct in Docklands 💎 Lifestyle property developer GURNER™ has secured planning approval for the first phase of its ambitious Docklands mega-project, “Elysium Fields,” following the green light from the Minister for Planning for three initial towers in the $1.7 billion development. 💪 Positioned on a 27,000-square-meter site at 208-226 Harbour Esplanade, the project aims to create a futuristic hub focused on wellness and anti-ageing, incorporating cutting-edge health amenities and extensive green spaces. 🌴 Once completed, the Elysium Fields precinct will feature approximately 1,100 residences, with around 700 units in the first three approved towers. The development will include approximately 3,700 square meters of landscaped public spaces designed to blend seamlessly with the urban environment. At 380 Lonsdale, multiple uses of this building informed the interiors concept, which uses the fig – a fruit that virtually houses thousands of fruit within its skin – as a metaphor. Different stages of ripeness have been chosen for different areas, moving from the pre-pollenated fig in the lobby space right up to the communal areas, which represent the fully grown version, bursting with different functions. #melbourne #architecture #community
