Tomorrow is R U OK? Day. 💛 We spend most of our lives at work – what is your workplace doing to support your mental health? Some common work-related challenges that can impact our mental health include long hours, staff shortages, ignored boundaries, lack of guidance, workplace bullying and a lack of support. Things that happen at home and outside of work also affect how we are at work. We can’t expect our team to perform when they are distracted, emotionally exhausted or feeling distant. Take the time to check in with your colleagues, ask if they are coping and help if they are struggling with deadlines or workload. 📚 If you notice that someone isn’t their usual self, ask them if they want to chat outside or if they need to take a moment to themself. 🚶🏻♀️ Have resources in place such as a counsellor, workplace health program or HR professional that can provide meaningful support. ⭐️ Our Workplace Health programs take a holistic, proactive approach to health, looking at every sector that impacts you and your ability to show up as the best version of yourself. We encourage you to ask R U OK? Everyday. Chat to us about how you can practically support your team’s mental health and wellbeing at [email protected]. R U OK?

This week, we’re celebrating Women’s Health Week. 🩺 This week prompts us to consider the unique health challenges and concerns that women experience. Women are under-studied, under-diagnosed and under-treated. By proactively taking charge of your employees’ health, you can help close this gap. We ask you this week, and every week, how is your workplace supporting women’s health? Do your staff have access to support, services and compassionate leave policies that empower them?  🤔 Each day has a different focus, encouraging diverse conversations to promote awareness and reduce stigma. Add these to your calendar and get talking. Monday – Know your body 🧠 Tuesday – Courageous conversations 🙌🏽 Wednesday – Shame and stigma 🩸 Thursday – Point of different 🏃🏽♀️ Friday – Trust your gut. 🍳 Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/d8wYyNhN Want to support the health of your employees but don’t know where to start? A skin check can feel super awkward, but our team are dedicated to making you feel comfortable and safe. Our priority is you and your health. 🩺 Living in sunny Australia, we all have little freckles, lumps and bumps from the sun – most of these we can’t see ourselves. ☀️ Having a routine skin check is the best way to stay on top of any potential skin issues, including skin cancer. Organising a skin check for your workplace makes this critical service accessible for your staff. While promoting sun-safe culture, you are also caring for your employees and boosting employee wellbeing. In our skin checks, here’s what you can expect ⤵️ 1.    Moles and Birthmarks: - Check size, shape, and colour for irregularities (asymmetry, uneven borders, multiple colours). - Look for new moles, especially after age 30. 2.    Changes in Existing Spots: - Monitor any changes in size, shape, colour, or texture of moles and spots. - Note if a flat mole becomes raised or rough. 3.    Unusual Growths or Lesions: - Identify sores that persist or don’t heal. - Look for red, pearly, crusty bumps, or flat red spots (possible skin cancer signs). 4.    Irregular Skin Areas: - Check for changes in skin texture (rough, scaly) and pigment changes (darker or lighter patches). 5.    Skin Discolouration: - Examine dark spots, patches, or areas with loss of pigment. 6.    Rashes or Itchy Areas: - Note persistent rashes, itching, or scaling areas. 7.    Nail Changes: - Look for discolouration or dark streaks under nails, and changes in nail shape. 8.    Scalp and Hidden Areas: - Part hair to check the scalp. - Examine areas like the back, between toes, and soles of feet. If anything, suspicious is found, further investigation by your GP or a Skin Specialist may be recommended. 👩⚕️ To organise a skin check for your workplace, please contact our team at [email protected]. #FordHealth #SunSafety #SkinCheck #WorkplaceSkinCheck #SkinCancer #CompleteWellbeing #WorkplaceHealth #EmployeeSupport #WellbeingAtWork

More and more workplaces are asking their employees to return to the office after years of work-from-home arrangements. 💻 While some employees welcome the return to a structured environment, others may find the transition challenging, especially after becoming accustomed to the flexibility that remote work provided. 🏠 Without having to commute, people found more time to exercise, spend time with their family and prepare healthy meals. The shift back to the office doesn’t have to mean a step backward for work-life balance. Here’s our top tips for employers and their teams for maintaining balance as we transition back into the office. ⤵️ 1.    Wake up a bit earlier and create time for you – allocate time for breakfast with your family and dedicate time to movement, even if it’s just walking instead of driving to the train. ⏰ 2.    Enjoy home being a work-free zone again! When you get home, switch off your phone and put away the laptop. We have the right to unplug so be present after work hours. 😴 3.    Prioritise getting outside during your lunch break to mentally reset for the afternoon. ☀️ 4.    Engage in a wellbeing program for your office. Chat to us about our Workplace Health programs to create a happier, healthier and more productive workforce. 🩺 Let us help you make the transition back to office easier. The satisfaction of hitting the ‘flow state’ at work is a great feeling. Your focus is strong, your mind feels clear, creativity flows, and productivity comes naturally. At this busy time of year, it can feel more difficult to lock into this zone, with distractions and tasks mounting. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, who first coined the term ‘flow’, outlines several ways to tap into the flow state: ⭐️ Have clear goals – when you know exactly what needs to be achieved, a flow comes more easily. ⭐️ Stop multitasking – jumping between tasks immediately interrupts your flow state. ⭐️ Limit distractions – silence your notifications, put on your headphones and put your phone away. ⭐️ Start your day with a task you enjoy -, strike s a balance between not too hard or easy, will to help you feel more motivated and productive. ⭐️ Get your team onboard – create working blocks or group sessions with your colleagues in which you all aim to follow these steps and build accountability in a supportive environment. Reaching this flow state can be interrupted by niggling pains, lack of sleep, nutrition deficiencies and our work environment. Find your flow more easily when you’re across your health. Chat to our team about our Executive Health programs, or services for individuals and businesses to reach your flow. Comment below your favourite ways to find flow. ⤵️ #FlowState #ProductivityHacks #ExecutiveeHealth #BoostProductivity #CompleteWellbeing #WorkEfficiency #StayFocused #FordHealth
